We moved here after having spent one night at a more expensive and not as charming hostel in Chiang Mai and immediately loved it. We stayed for 4 nights and found the location perfect, hidden from the main rush but still in the middle of the action. The rooms are in pretty wooden bungalows, basic but comfortable with an old...

Idyllic hotel, nicely decorated, in a great location, with free internet. Rooms were clean. Great restaurant and good value for dinner. Breakfast was a little humdrum (only one choice, eggs everyday). The only drawback to the garden setting were the mosquitos that hung around there during the day and at night. Gap's cooking school was very professional, a great experience...

In Chiang Mai you can not beat the value of on this place. The atmosphere is excellent with a lush tropical garden around the dining area and in the common area. Although you definately need bug spray if you are prone to getting eaten by mosquitos if you are sitting outside in the evening, but as long as you are...

Arrived Chiang mai and went through the LP recommendations and found Gap's house. Took cheapest one-person room, which was the nearest to road, first floor. They had more expensive, which would have been more quiet, but chose this for saving money. Mosquitos kept me awake and 5 o'clock started noisy traffic. I woke up angry, tired and asked to change...

Nice place to stay, good value for money. Not the best place ever (clean but not spotlessly, mosquitos, bathroom worse than train station toilets), but the room is confortable and you get really good sleep. Free wifi, breakfast ok. The best thing about it was the inside patio and garden surrounding the rooms, were you could just hang out at...

We are currently staying at Gap's House - Chiang Mai, we've found it to be very pleasant, a good price and an excellent location. Today I did the 1 day Thai cooking course with them - it was excellent, I'd highly recommend it. We usually enjoy staying at places that are visually pleasing and Gap's House is exactly that. Other...

I stayed here as a solo traveler on a yoga trip for 10 days. It is a quiet bed and breakfast, I had a spacious room (#1) on top of the main office. I felt safe here, the gates were locked at night. The breakfasts are the same everyday but a nice inclusion - 2 eggs any style, toast, pinapple...

I witnessed several people complaining to the manager about money stolen from their rooms. Some had their money stolen from their safe box. How could this happen? The owner kept denying that it was possible, that they must have made a mistake, I found out that the maids have access to the master key set for the safes. This has...
