Sarah's Guesthouse was... fine. The room has AC and towels, but no toiletries, and the shower is one of those that is next to the toilet and gets water on everything in the bathroom. The people who work there are very kind though, Hunter the dog was adorable, and there are resident cats as well. Breakfast is not included and... More

Great guesthouse. Clean, good prices & Sarah is always very helpful. She has been running this guesthouse for around 30 years and it is a nice quiet location. Only a few minutes walk from the night bazaar as well as being in a good location for bars & restaurants. We have been staying here for over 20 years & wouldn't... More

I stayed here during the Loy Krathong Festival last year...unfortunately. I found this place on the Lonely Planet (they should really revise their hotel from times to times) and so I book and went there, payed in advance, big mistake The owner, Sara, gave us a room, at the second floor, it was hot and miserable, not even THAT cheap.... We stayed here from the 7th April -12th we got ourselves a fan only room for 1860baht so 310 baht a night,we ended up staying an extra night as Songkran festival has started and we couldn't move on to our next adventure until the 16th (which I didn't mind at all) the extra night cost just 300 baht. The location... More

Avoid this place at all costs. We thought we were onto a good deal for how cheap it was...we were wrong. As we turned out the lights to go to sleep we felt things crawling, turned the lights on to see multiple bed bugs all over the pillows and bed. When we examined the sheets more we noticed small brown... More

I was pleasantly surprised that for such a cheap rate the rooms were good. Clean and basic however it was just a place to sleep at night. The rooms only have fans so for someone who is needing air con this place is not for you. Also a down side was that you need to pay for towels and extra... More

Initially I booked one night at Sarah Guesthouse due to the mix reviews. After arriving I booked two extra nights. The location is great, just a few minute walk from the night market(Saturday and Sunday night market) and close to a busy street (Loi Kroh) which even though at night it's filled with "lady friends" there are also some bars... I was staying in Chiang Mai to visit the city and was looking for something clean, in a good location and at a very good price. Sarah guest house is just that. Bedroom are good enough space, the Bathroom is a wet room which is fine and anyway you don't spend much time in it. I got the taxi to... More

Close to night market and gate/square to old town and temples. Walking distance. Easy to get around. Quiet area. My room was spacious, big bed & comfortable, clean. AC & fan in my room. Hot water available. Only for 420 bath/night which great value for money. Good for backpackers. A common area downstairs with breakfast/coffee/juices available. Laundry area just 15... More

Price for this place is greate! The guesthous is perfect for "backpackers" kind of tourists. Room was spacious with your own bathroom. If you want clean towels and bed sheets you need to pay extra (something like 15 baht per piece). My room wasn't super clean but there was everything I needed. In the common space there's a possibility to... More
