We took dorm beds in a fan room. The beds were okay but there was no air in my room as the window could not be opened. The service is not friendly or welcoming, they kicked me out after I took a guide with a different company. You cannot leave valuable stuff in you room, and the safe can be...

When i arrived in Chiang mai i took the first hostel that i encountered because i just wanted to sleep, this turned out to be a very bad hostel so the next day i started to look for another hostel and got recommended by a local Thai to go to Julie guesthouse and that turned out to be the best...

This is a good place if you want to meet other travelers. I showed up after traveling for 4 days straight from Russia and wanted to relax and meet some people. This plan worked out well until I tried to extend my stay past 3 nights. I had heard when I was in Chiang Mai a couple years before that...

Really nice place with lots of opportunities to meet fellow backpackers. Even though the rooms are small and very basic, they're super cheap and clean. The staff was also very friendly and helpful in booking trips, remembering all the guests by name even though it was fully booked and there were many people walking in and out! Definitely a good...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a few nights whilst we were in Chiang Mai, it was basic, but exactly what you want from a guest house. It was cheap, the staff were nice and helpful, could rent mopeds from the guest house. Breakfast there was quite nice and the bar area was pretty busy with other travellers all...

This place has just a great atmosphere. Met so many great people in just 1 night. Can't see anything of what some other people said. It's pretty cheap so it doesn't look it's all about the business and they trust you to write down your own drinks (pay when leave). That's pretty laid back I guess!

The rooms are cheap that is very true, but there is nothing else interesting about this place, moreover, cheap room are all over chiang mai, where you can get, for free, the smiles and warm welcome that you won't find at julie. There it's all about making money. They will rent you a motorbike for 200baht/day. Note that you can...

We spent two nights in a twin room with AC and it was really great. The atmosphere is fun and chilling and the food is very good and cheap. There is a good backpacker vibe and an honor system regarding to drinks. We met a lot of great people and were very sad to leave.

Three nights spent in a basic room. Really cold welcoming though. Nice patio but when even crowed, lights are switch off at 11:30, whenever you just order a drink... After a short walk around, there are obviously way more friendly places in Chiangmai...

I stayed unfortunately only two nights at Julie's but it was still an amazing experience. It is one of the hostels where you feel immediately comfortable, where you feel the welcoming backpacker vibe and where you will spend most of your time.. That is what happened to us. We spent literally almost all of our time at this hostel but...
