The resort is small but feel like home. The room is clean and looks nice. The resort is away from the main road, if you don’t have a car it would be quite difficult to get there. There is a familymart away from the resort about 500 meter. Wifi not strong enough.

Well sugar beat resort lies between Pattaya and Jomtien.
The rooms are romantic and clean.
The staff and and owners don't speak English. For foreigners who don't speak Thai this could be a problem. But for me and my Thai wife this was not a issue.
The menu card is simple for foreign standards. If not picky it's oke.
There are some establiments nearby. Jomtien beach is close , but better take the 20 bath taxi to Pattaya to avoid the impolite Russian scum. Just 15 minute drive to walking street. Over all I had a wonderful time at sugar beat resort in 2014. Khorp kuhn khap to the owner and staff.
BTW Thai hotel for thai people.

Just went there as our resort is fully booked to accommodate one of our friends.
it takes at least more than 10 minutes to have someone at the reception, unfriendly mature and not smiling at all lady. I asked to visit the rooms and she cannot do it. When I asked her why. She just smiled. Finally one of the maids showed me one room.
When I asked the price. She said 800 THB. In the same time someone called and she proposed the same room at 700 THB and guess to? Thai people.
Too bad for this lady that I can understand Thai language and when I asked her the difference: once again a smile.

Pattaya has already a bad reputation to be one of the most unfriendly place in Thailand, well step by step I can confirm it more and more.
For me it is a NO WAY

We only had a short stay in one of there bungalows while visiting friends close by.

A clean and well run place and only a short taxi trip to either the beach or town.

We stayed here around 12 years ago and its refreshing to see that they have stayed on top of maintenance.

Nice place and not expensive. The report is clean, lovely decoration and take taxi bike 10mins to balihai harbour. Btw, There's not many facilities so if you prefer to have a nice place to sleep with reasonable price, I'd recommend Sugar Beat.

If you are looking for a place to stay (and do not plan to spend your time inside the hotel but just for a sleep), this is the place. I stayed (1 night) in a house called Leelavadee. The room was clean and there is the hot shower provided. There is also 1 parking space next to the house. But if you stay at the main building (opposite of the houses), there are still plenty of space to park if you plan to drive here. The price is very reasonable.
