Unpleasantly Unclean hotel Positives: The air-conditioning worked The bed was firm with pillows that where not hard In room safe – not laptop compatible. Clean towels – though occasionally thread bare. Breakfast was edible. Relatively cheap for the area 900/1000thb a night Negatives: Curtains did not cover the windows entirely (missing at least 30 cm section) meaning that light work me up. Apparently, according to reception, all rooms are like this! Bathroom was dirty – hair visibly stuck in drain when I arrived – not removed for the entire of my stay Dirt and mess in all the draws in the room. Stairs leading to floor 2 simply disgustingly dirty – toothpick/ ear bud and massive amount of dirt and dust left there for entire of stay – which in the case of the toothpick could have been there for 6 months according to another review posted June 2018!!!! Breakfast room also fairly unclean. Clearly not a 4 star hotel – most likely 2 or 3 at best. Shower barely worked – very little pressure – more of a watering can being vaguely poured on the head. Admittedly you get what you pay for, but this hotel is just unclean. Wifi – I did not try and connect to this as I live in BKK and have a decent mobile connection. Note that the pictures provided on the promotional material are not really representative of the what rooms look like. Look at the pictures that others have taken of rooms to see what they are more like. You certainly do not get towel animals on the beds – not that this matters as this hotel has more to worry about than this alone!

I stayed in the Neo Hotel a year ago and had a positive experience. It's a cute property, in a good location. Unfortunately, things have declined since then. First: the very bad: 1) When I got to the room, the wifi wasn't working. After 3 trips and 2 phone calls to the front desk, I was told first that it wasn't working because of the rain, then after resetting the internet for the 3rd time, it worked fine. 2) The stairway around the corner from the reception that led to my room on the 2nd floor was filthy. There were dust bunnies on practically every step as well as a used toothpick. There were dusty spiderwebs in the windows.. I told them at the front desk and they mumbled some excuse about the cleaners not being blah, blah, blah. . .when I checked out, the stairway still hadn't been cleaned. I daresay that if I were to go back in 1 month the same used toothpick would still be there. You would think that someone from the front desk could take a broom and deal with it. . .but that doesn't seem to be of any importance to them. 3) The room had obviously not been cleaned for some time--perhaps when the last person checked out a month ago. It smelled dusty and there was mold on the wallpaper behind the nightstand. (Discovered when I pulled it out to plug in my laptop.) 4) The bathroom was a (near) disaster. The hand held shower head mount had broken, so they just propped the shower head behind the rain shower fixture. The walls were grimy--I don't want to image what the various stains on the wall were. The door louver vents were severely dusty, and the toilet had what appeared to be skid marks. The towel rack was barely attached to the wall. . .just waiting to fall off. 5) My room had 2 twin beds, and the space between them featured more unknown stains on the walls. 6) Starting about 8:30, housekeeping repeated knocked on my door to clean the room. I told them I would be checking out and asked if they could return later. That didn't seem to be the answer they were looking for, however, and they kept bothering me until I checked out quite early. 7) Starting about 8 am, housekeeping and some guys doing some sort of repairs in the room across the hall were incredibly noisy in the hallway, shouting and playing music. And now the good: 1) The breakfast was adequate. 2) The bed and pillows were firm, but comfortable. 3) The air conditioner worked. I have the feeling that in a year or so I will go back to Jomtien (I live in Bangkok) only to find the Neo Hotel closed. Their current business practices are not conducive to return visits.

Get a 4G tourist Sim card for your phone and create a hotspot for your laptop. I don't know about wifi in the Hotel part but signal is inexistant in the Condo part and the slowest i've ever recorded! Otherwise, huge suite barely furnished but clean and neat in a very convenient location at a VG price!
