Detailed Reviews
We recently stayed here for two nights on a family holiday. The hotel is in a good location with many places to eat nearby. The room was well appointed with a large bathroom. Breakfast was OK but the choices were a bit limited. I would recommend this hotel.

As with my previous review in March 2017, I was back at Iris Hotel in August 2017. Overall still a good experience - Room is big and clean. Bed is comfortable. When I was there, the room was a little warm due to the weather. The hotel staff brought a fan to my room so I had a very good night sleep. Breakfast was normal, however could be better. The area surrounding the hotel is more for local tourists, so it can get a little noisy when groups are checking-in or leaving, but that's just a minor inconvenience.
Would still recommend to stay here again.

The first impression of this hotel isn't that great as we arrived around 11pm at night. The lobby was dark and quiet and we met a sleepy-looking receptionist boy who quickly gave us key to our room. We entered our room and found that there were no bathing towels and toiletries. Called him again and the housekeeping girl handed us a piece of shower gel. English was limited here but we somehow managed to get messages across.
The following morning and thereafter, our room was kept up to standard with all toiletries and amenities in place and the housekeeping lady cleaned the room right after we left for breakfast. During daylight, the receptionists were also helpful and accommodate our needs. The lobby was indeed grandeur and it might be one of the beautiful establishment on this hilltop. The distance between hotel and night bazaar is about 10-15 minutes. However the cool climate made up the walk uphill. The breakfast is basic but adequate with local and continent fare.

+1
I had a great time this hotel! Iris is in the center, walk to night market only 3 minutes and we like the people who manage the hotel, so kind and help in everything! I stayed 3 hotels in Dalat already and this was the best hotel with the most wonderful people! Nice huge room is clean & well-equipped.
Buffet breakfast was included and there are so many different choice of European and Asian. It was delicious! I will highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

I hate leaving bad reviews, almost all of mine are for places I’ve enjoyed. But…. There comes a time for exceptions to help people make good choices.
This is my second time to come to Dalat, and I wanted to stay somewhere more walkable to be close to the market and such, and this place had great reviews, so I thought it was a good choice.
To start off with, the staff is great, very friendly, and after a couple of attempts, the morning staff was able to help me also book transport to Nha Trang, so very appreciated on that front. Aside from the horrible noise issues, the hotel was quite a good deal For the cost. The rooms were clean, the beds were fine, but hotels don’t really work if you can’t sleep.
Major issue: all the rooms around us were booked by a student group, and up until midnight, there was loud shouting in the halls, what sounded like furniture being rearranged and pounding on all doors (including ours) and people ringing the room doorbells (including ours) until midnight, and again at 7am. I am not exaggerating when I say this was the worst night’s sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. Ambien and earplugs were no match for the chaos. The hotel staff said they had tried to intervene, and they had received promises that it would get better, but there are students filling every floor, and I’m not spending another night of my vacation dealing with that again. Luckily in all my time awake last night I found a different hotel to stay in. They also said that since I’d booked through Expedia, they hadn’t been paid yet and wouldn’t be offering me a refund on the last night here even though I was checking out. Night before last was pretty bad, but last night was just insane, I feel like it pretty much ruined half our trip here by itself.
Yeah, it was awful. I’ve stayed in some pretty rough places too. This was quite good until that part.
Things that were annoying, but not something I’d ever leave a bad review about. Breakfast cooked to order is a bit of a stretch, the guy making the eggs didn’t speak any English and didn’t really try, and just gives you two sunny side up eggs if you talk to him, and the counter in the bathroom was crumbling away, it didn’t hurt my kid so no harm no foul there, and there is a distinct lack of toilet paper in the bathroom. Which given the behavior of the student group may have been intentional 😂.
Yeah, so, pretty good place, pretty awful experience. Stay at your own risk, bring earplugs for sure. The walls here seem like they are made to amplify sounds.

Located in the downtown but on a quite road, away from the honking and hustle and bustle. The rooms are a moderate size and still have that new hotel smell and a comfortable bed. The breakfast staff could use some lessons in courtesy as the 3 days that we were there the staff was huddled together discussing their evening. I think if they spent less time chatting and more time looking after the food it might have at least been warm. That being said the staff at the front counter were more then helpful and were able to speak and understand English. We had moved from another hotel in the hopes that this was better and were not disappointed, except for breakfast. This was good value for the money. A few blocks from the night market and the best Pizza in all of Vietnam, Vuongs Pizza. If you stay here eat there on the way to the night market. Make the most of your days in Dalat.

Hotel : New
Room : Big & clean
Breakfast : 2 days only pork chop rice & pho on order cause no much customer.
3rd day then have buffet but not much variety.
Staff : 1 of the housekeeping staff not honest.
Left my wedding ring & good luck ring inside bath room but forgot to take after check out. Went back to find after check out but was told no rings at all.. Obviously the 1 who clean the bath room & threw away the shower gel & shampoo girl took it.. But I didn't argue with them cause my fault for forgetting to take..
Location: need to walk 300-500 meters out to main road for restaurants.

We stayed 3 nights here and were very disappointed. The hotel itself was attractive and the rooms well appointed, but the service was very poor. The staff spoke limited English, had little idea of service, and their care factor was about zero. A bedside lamp burnt out in our room on the first night, and after much difficulty we got moved to another room as the burning stench was unbearable. The breakfast options for international tourists was limited, and the fruit selection pathetic. I have special dietary needs, and my husband nearly burst a blood vessel trying to get me some yogurt for breakfast. The local guests allowed their children to scream and run wild, adding to the noise of the location of the hotel. There were no nearby restaurants and if one wanted to eat dinner at the hotel, one had to order by lunchtime from a choice of two meals. After staying in some wonderful hotels in Vietnam, the Iris Dalat was a very negative experience and we do not recommend it.

We spent 2 nights here. The hotel is located in the center of Dalat. Room is clean and has a lot of space but no air conditioning. The weather was very hot in Vietnam right now and it affected Da Lat too even though this is a mountain area. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good. I would come back in the future and would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and found the rooms spacious. The room we stayed in was on the top floor and had a massive patio. We were able to sit there of an afternoon and listen to the sounds of Dalat.
The hotel was close to shops and restaurants and was in walking distance of the Night Markets. The area where the hotel was situated can get very congested with traffic on the weekends. The breakfast was ample, and the service at breakfast was adequate.
There was only one negative, and that was the noise from other guests when they checked in at night. Doors were slammed and children ran through the corridors. This was not the fault of the hotel, but something to be aware of. We arranged a transfer to Dalat Airport through reception and this was arranged professionally and efficiently.
Overall, it was a good stay and the staff were friendly and efficient..
