The staff was really fantastic. The cleaning is not really good and there are a lot of things that doesn't work and hasn't been fixed/replaced. The location is almost perfect with a lot of good restaurants and street food within a 1-5 minute walk. This must have been a really fantastic hotel when everything was working and clean. Still OK...

My wife and I have just left a wonderful old hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Very spacious and comfortable with an elegance to make our stay very enjoyable. The owner and staff provided the best and friendliest service I have ever experienced from a hotel. It is very reasonably priced and we will return again.

Our room was NOTHING like those shown on the website. Linen was tacky and grubby, bath mat old and very stained. Plaster dropping off walls and left on floor and ledges. Curtains half hanging off hooks. Old lounge was dusty and falling apart. We had a large room which had an extra bed placed in it after our first night...

From the moment we arrived, the staff were great. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, although a little quirky having it in the lobby area. Location wise, it could not have been better, top of the lake and bottom of the Old Quarter. Will be returning to Vietnam soon, and will definitely stay there again.

We booked and paid for 5 nights at the Hanoi Old Quarter Hotel. I phoned the hotel to arrange a taxi from the airport. A driver was there for us. When we arrived at the Hotel, Steve (the owner) and Flora consulted their computer for our booking. Flora found our booking but Steve said they were full and the booking...

Staff: Friendly and helpful, offer all required services through the reception, including bus/train tickets, tours to Sapa or Halong Bay ect ect 3. Rooms: Large room size and a huge bed,...

The hanoi old quarter hotel is extremely well run. Van (cloud), the receptionist, and the other workers whose name we didn't get were extremely helpful and courteous without feeling overbearing or cloying. The room was clean, nicely furnished. The breakfast is delicious and we were even treated to dinner in the lobby with the staff to celebrate the Tet holiday.

We have stayed two nights in this hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. They tried to offer us some trips, but we preorganized everything by ourselves, so that was fine. Within minutes you are in the centre of the old quarter and you have a lot of food and drink options. It is directly located at the end...

At first I thought I liked Siagon better because the people seemed friendlier. I had never been this north in Asia before. Quickly my stance changed. The street food is amazing!
