Having scoured the guidebooks and the web for an affordable good hotel in the old quarter, we were very pleased to have come up trumps. For $15 for a double room, with aircon, fridge, private bathroom, good wifi and breakfast included in this location is a bargain. Plus the friendliness of the staff here, as well as having a choice...

Nice place to stay in Hanoï located in the old quarter. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help you organising your trip in Vietnam. As we did the North of Vietnam in motorbike, we let a bag during 2 weeks there. The breakfeast is also very good.

We chose Camellia No. 6 on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. The location couldn't be better for this family-run small hotel. Room (No. 502) had two huge, comfortable beds, big bathroom with constant hot water, large balcony with table and chairs, cable TV and was quiet and spotless. Phuong and Ain are gracious and friendly...

We have spent three nights there, always in a different room as there was at least a day between our stay there. The taxi driver was waiting for us at the airport, took us to the hotel (well, it is old town so our worries about those narrow streets were baseless ;-) ) The owners were really nice they helped...

Perfect location, wonderful staff, clean rooms, really brilliant hotel! Great value for money. Make sure you research the reliable taxis before you get a taxi in Hanoi. Many will try to charge you up to 10 times what the fare really should be.

The room we got was not that great and everything from the rest of the hotel could be heard. The toilet was positioned very badly and it was almost impossible to have a sit on it. The location is great, as it is in the old quarter (but many mnay others can be found here). The managers are friendly and...

I stayed with Mrs Phuong and her (growing) family for one week in August 2012 and can highly recommend a stay at Camillia 6. I've stayed in quite a few hotels across Hanoi and this one ranks very highly as it's clean, functional and well run and at a good room rates. ($15-$20/night) For me what makes the biggest difference...

I booked the hotel on a friend's advice, stayed for three weeks, and highly recommend it to anyone for a short or longer stay. If you are a budget traveler, your first choice will probably be one of the backpackers' hostels, but Camellia 6 is absolutely worth the money. The hotel is family-owned, in one of the calmer lanes of...

We booked a room for one night but because of the Thyphon coming we had to change our plans so we cancelled the same day. The woman was really nice and understood without charging us for the late cancelation and she helped us to book a bus to Hué as the train was full! She let us waited in the...

A lovely clean room, hot shower, nice breakfast. I emailed to let them know I would be arriving at 5 am and would it be OK to drop my bag off, not only did they reply and say yes, when we arrived they had kept a room free for us. So we got two nights for the price of one!!!...
