Detailed Reviews
I don't think I can stress how accommodating, kind, and welcoming the entire staff here was. We have just returned from a tour of Vietnam and Japan - Hanoi La Siesta Diamond exceeded every other hotel we stayed at by a wide margin (including two "luxury" hotels). Janine in particular of the staff was thoughtful, remembered seemingly everything about our needs, our names, and offered to make every part of our stay more pleasant. I do not know when our travels will bring us back to Hanoi, but we'll stay at the Diamond every other time!

We just booked this hotel at random on booking.com and from start to finish the professionalism and service from the staff has exceeded all our expectations. They arranged our pickup and drop off from the airport for only $38USD for two people and that price includes to and from airport which is far cheaper than any taxi or grab. We also had gotten them to arrange our Halong bay trip which was absolutely amazing and everything was outstanding and arranged perfectly. From start to finish when we arrived the staff were incredible. I had been pretty sick on arriving and they brought some ginger tea to our room and even offered to walk us to the near by pharmacy if we needed. The rooms were beautiful and well equipped with everything you could need. On returning from Halong bay, we were offered an upgrade to the executive suite with late check out for our flight the following morning which was a lovely perk for our last night to Vietnam. Food quality was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Variety of both traditional Vietnamese dishes and western foods. We also had a drink in the sky bar which has pretty amazing views of the city and drinks seemed to be relatively priced. The hotel itself is centrally located and pretty easier to get to anywhere in Hanoi that you need to see. The staff also give you a map of the city and point out places of interest, including the best coffee and lunch spots. We have travelled a lot and this is one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in and we would highly highly recommend it to others.

Our family of four, with 2 teenage daughters, stayed at the La Siesta Diamond over the New Year's holiday. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better to be in the middle of all the festivities. It's just just a few blocks away from Hoan Kiem lake and a ten minutes walk from the Opera House. We actually could do all our major sightseeing by foot! Even though its in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, our rooms on the fourth floor were absolutely quiet. The rooms were super clean and charmingly decorated. The whole hotel is charmingly stylish... so many oriental chic design elements! For New Year's Eve the hotel had special five-course dinner menus that were rather reasonably priced. There was also champagne packages for the New Year's Eve party on their amazing rooftop bar, which must be one of the best in the city due to its vicinity to the lake. The staff was unbeatably friendly, competent and accommodating. The customer relationship managers, Duy and Janine, were highly professional. Nothing was too much, when it came to making our stay as comfortable as possible.
On our last night we were offered a free upgrade to a two-floor family suite at the sister hotel La Siesta Classic. Although it was nice to be all together and the Classic also had an amazing rooftop bar, we'd have to say that we preferred the Diamond. It was somehow more charming. We especially liked having a great view for our breakfast each morning at the Diamond. My, a waitress at the Diamond, was especially gracious.

Conveniently located in a (relatively) quiet side street near the lake, this is a narrow twelve storey building.
The bedrooms are very good, the beds extremely comfortable and the bathrooms modern, well fitted and with strong water pressure.
The service is excellent and the word that comes to mind is pampered.
Personally, the thing that I find as important as any in a hotel is the breakfast, and, boy, you're not let down here. Yesterday morning, for example I had egg Benedict, bacon with sausages, sme salads with proper ham and cheese, washed down with fresh fruit and house-made yoghurt. We also took advantage of a late check out and limo service to airport at a very good price.
If I had to nitpick, the beer in the roof top bar is a touch expensive.

Location of the hotel was excellent as there are many restaurants, cafe, spa and shopping within the 5-10 mins walking distance. Room was very comfortable and I super love the shower (no problem with water flow, hot water available immediately upon turning on tap).
Breakfast was good, not the widest variety of choices, but you need to go for the pho. The coffee is very good too if you love coffee.
Lastly, superb staff they have, going above and beyond to make our stay good.
Do note that there is a demolition (almost completed) and construction going on next door and it can be a problem to those who stay in the room whole day but it didn't cause us much problem as we were out whole day.
If I do come back to Hanoi, I will definitely stay at La Nueva again.

Perfection is in the details. And the staff of the La Siesta does take care of all the details. Attentive, extremely well trained, always ready to ask a nice question and to help, the personnel really made my stay extremely agreeable.
I'll just mention one detail: during breakfast, someone from the reception is in the restaurant, ready to tell you if your transfer or tour package has been confirmed, if your request for late checkout can be accommodated - you do not need to call the reception for that.
I filled in an evaluation form in the hotel restaurant/ bar and wrote that I liked the whole staff had been great. The next day I received an email from the manager just to tell me that my comment had been forwarded to the team.
During the stay, the staff called me by my name, they rarely had to ask for my room number.
The location is great, three blocks from the lake and temple and right inside the Old Quarter.
I strongly recommend this hotel.

It's our first time in Vietnam and we were amazed from the great hospitality we recieved when we arrived. Everything was taken care of and all went so smoothly. The room was very clean and included very nice complementary fruits and water and basically all we needed (even a Lenovo laptop).

We stayed at this hotel on and off over a 10 day period when we were not away on excursions. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the Old Quarter. The receptionist staff are very attentive and efficient. They Organise trips and when there was an issue with our room they solved it immediately. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. A great breakfast is included. A good range of choices from a buffet is available plus they will cook eggs etc to order. The breakfast staff were great. We particularly enjoyed talking with the breakfast manager Duy and one of the waitresses Diep. But they were all lovely. There is also an excellent restaurant on the 12th floor and a sky bar. We would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Hanoi.

Yes, Ms.
We have returned for almost 6 months already.
However, we would like to make a brief notification: Currently, there is a construction from the People’s Committee next door which carries on Oct, 16th 2022 and is expected to be completed by the end of July, 2023. However, we can assure you that the construction will be kept at minor disturb for the sakes of in-house guests. Moreover, the construction is not continuous; we are able to make an agreement that there will be days when all will be stopped if the hotel is near full occupancy.
We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding and cooperation.
Best regards,

This is a fairly small hotel. They do not have a Club Floor.
No Club level - the Executive rooms are the nicest, ask for a room level 6 or above; they’re a little quieter and have more natural light. Lovely hotel A++++, enjoy
No balconies here but lovely rooftop restaurant & bar. Staff are wonderful
Yes there is no problems with this arrangement. We only took what we needed for the Halong trip and the hotel were very accommodating in storing our extra bags for us. There were 6 of us in our group and they looked after each one of us.by leaving our bags there while away. A secure and safe area is used for your luggage
