Staffs are enthusiastic and friendly. Good breakfast. Room is tidy and clean. Hotel is in Old Quarter and closes to most attractions. A little bit of noisy in the morning (car horns.) Highly recommend.

There isn't a common room however there is a small breakfast room at the back and in reception there is a seating area with computers for internet. It's in the heart of Hanoi though so lots of places around, and the backpackers area is about a 10 min walk. Hope this helps :)
