Perfect location, in the middle of everything but still quiet rooms and had great sleep. Service was excellent. Wonderful recommendations and help with transport. Room service, restaurant and bar all great. Worth coming to the restaurant even if staying elsewhere. Breakfast had good variety and you order eggs, pancakes and French toast. Toaster took 6 goes before browning bread but that was only issue and gave me something to do while awaiting yummy eggs. Room was well-appointed. Bath a wonderful place to relax. Just wish there was a shelf, cupboard or somewhere in bathroom to keep toiletries. Wi-fi good and was able to do all international business and searching required without problems. Desk set-up had strong light which was helpful for paperwork. I’d definitely return.

The hotel room, ambiance, staffs and breakfast are very good. We had fun staying in Hanoi. And coming back to the hotel after our fun day is really worthwhile because you can relax right away given the relax feel of the room. Love the bathtub by the way. Shout out to Andy who is very accommodating enough during our stay at Hai Bay.

We had gone to Hanoi for a week's trip. Hai Bay was chosen by us considering it was at the centre of Hanoi. The location was absolutely perfect, being right in the middle of the Old Streets, just about 500 mtrs from Hoan Kiem lake.
The room was very comfortable and in good condition. Service by the staff was very prompt. Good food preparation by the cooks (though, I would've hoped the heating would be a bit better at the food counter).
The reception and tour information desks were very kind and helpful, advising us on many of our trip itineraries.

The rooms are quite nice, we had a balcony facing the street. That means forget sleeping. I believe they have also rooms on the other side but the size is quite smaller. The hotel has no swimming pool. The breakfast was very modest, with a small selection and quantity of food.
The stuff on the reception though is very nice and helpful. Also the location is very good.

We really annoyed our stay at Haibay. It is in a great central spot. The bed was comfy and it was SUPER quiet despite the noisey city. The front desk including Nayra were very accommodating when we needed help with our safe and asked for an extra blanket. They also provided advise for yummy food and booked us transportation to Halong. Food was good at the buffet too. 10/10 would return

Overall, I liked the accommodation: clean rooms, decent breakfast, and friendly staff. I was able to enjoy my stay especially thanks to the kindness of Amanda and Nayra. The accommodation is close to major tourist attractions in downtown Hanoi, so it was convenient to enjoy sightseeing. I was worried that the noise from the street would interfere with my rest, but there was little to no discomfort about it.

The location is superb. It’s walking distance to the main spots.

check in - when we arrived, it was nice of them allowing us for early check in. However, when we went upstairs, the room was not ready yet and the cleaners were still cleaning the rooms; but they were polite and apologised for what happened and asked to wait for a few mins for final clean ups.

Service - most of the staffs were polite and attentive. They looked worried when our driver that was supposed to show up at 8am; hasnt arrived yet. They even helped us to call the driver to check his whereabouts. The only reason i didnt give full 5 stars for staff is because this is the only hotel in vietnam (during our trip) that the staff didnt offer to assist on luggage.

Room - clean and ok if you don’t plan to stay ling in the room

We stayed for 2 nights here. All of the staff are extremely nice and helpful. Mr. Long at the front desk was especially kind. Our door lock malfunctioned and the staff fixed it very quickly and were very apologetic. It was no big deal but the quick fix was appreciated. Complimentary breakfast was good and honestly the Beef Pho they had one morning was some of the best we had in Hanoi. Very clean and simple but perfect location and great for a just a few nights.

We stayed in the family room. The space in the room is big enough to open up 2 big and 1 small luggage. It is a small hotel that provides breakfast though variety not a lot. The location is quite convenient with many places for meals just short distance away.

I love this hotel. It is beyond what is expected from a local hotel. I usually stay in big franchised hotels but there isn't one that I want in the city centre, so i decided to go with local, and to my surprised, Hai Bay hotel feels like a really nice boutique hotel. Great staff and nice rooms, very nice decor and their bathroom looks just like any other big name hotels. Lots of effort is put into the interior design and renovation. As far as local hotel goes, this is top tier. If possible, book directly with the hotel, as 3rd party travel sites takes up as much as 30% commission so it's bad for local small hotels. If you read this review, then go ahead and book this hotel. You won't regret it. I've stayed in more hotels than most people so I know what is good value and good quality, and this hotel has both. Great job Hai Bay Hotel!
