Highly recommend this charming guest house! We had booked because of the hostel-level prices, but would return because of the excellent staff and immaculate accommodations and awesome location – literally around the corner (maybe 100 yards) from Hoan Kiem Lake, and an easy trot up to Truc Bach Lake, which we wanted to visit to look for the McCain memorial....

We stayed at Madam Moon Guesthouse three times throughout our trip around northern Vietnam. Each time was excellent. The staff helped us with recommendations when needed and really went over the top when they helped us get advance tickets to Ha Giang province!

We stayed there for four days and enjoyed a great location. Just 2 minutes walk from the Old Quarter and the lake. Accommodation was confortable. Not luxurious, but good enough. Workers were truly helpful and affectionate. They arranged all our excursions: Sapa, Halong Bay and the Perfume Pagode. We fully recommend their hotel and services if you are looking for...

I loved staying at Madame Moon guesthouse! A perfect location close to night life, the lake, and all the sights. Rooms are clean and spacious. The staff was incredibly helpful and warm, going above and beyond to help plan the rest of my trip and giving a warm welcome each time I returned. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We stayed here for five nights and we have nothing but praise for the staff - particularly Jasmine and her colleague (sorry the name has escaped me but she has a beautiful baby daughter). They helped us with all our questions and our tour to Halong Bay was one of the highlights of our trip. We were worried that we...

This was our second time staying at Madame Moon, this time with my mum and auntie in tow. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, lovely rooms (comfy bed) and a great location, near the lake. We really liked the little street the hotel is on, always recommend to friends to stay here. The stairs to the room are a...

We stayed here for 2 nights. Wanted 3 but it was fully booked. Amazingly sweet and helpful staff. Just a really nice atmosphere here. We were recommend this place by an older Kiwi lady, and took her words, and went for it- and certainly did not regret it.

The staff here go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one. From carrying your luggage up and down six flights of stairs to booking your train tickets for you, nothing is too much to ask. We booked a tour with the hotel and after asking others on the boat, we got it cheaper than anyone else. The...

Madam Moon is a great place to stay with very friendly staff and a great all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast. Binh and Hien, the two main receptionists are exceptionally supportive in helping with any travel arrangements that you need to organise. They have made my whole trip a lot easier to coordinate, which I think is a big plus. And they are...
