As I am more of a flash packer type at $60 USD a night this hotel was more expensive than I would usually pay, but it looked so nice on their website we decided to treat ourselves on a plesant haven in the hectic streets...More
The hotel is in the Old Quarter, very clean, very silent. PC with internet in the room. Some rooms dont have a window but some others do, so you can ask for one on the front. The most important thing was the staff, so professional...More

We did the 2d 1n tour on the Paloma junk boat. The boat, food, tour guides and staff were all amazing, it was one of the highlights of Vietnam for me. Halong bay is quite a long drive (3-4) hours from Hanoi, so I would recommend spending at least one night on the boat, a day trip would be too much time on a minibus and not enough in Halong bay.
