We stayed in one of the grand suites with lake view in mid January. The hotel was new. The suite was beautiful, clean and very comfortable.

The view of Hoan Kiem lake from the lounge of the suite was lovely. The bedroom had view of the neighbourhood and I could see people in another hotel across the street, so I had to close the curtains whenever I was in the bedroom. hotel is in a market area; therefore, a bit of street noise could be heard from the suite, but it was not too bad. (I’m very sensitive to noise, but could still sleep well). The bathroom was spacious and very clean.

The rooftop bar had an even better view of the lake, but their drinks were only average. The restaurant also had nice view. Breakfast was excellent. I really loved their bottled fresh smoothie and cream caramel. Dinner was a bit hit-and-miss. The flavour and the presentation were beautiful, but the chicken dish was slightly undercooked, so I did not eat it. The manager asked for our feedback upon checking out, and when she realised that the food wasn’t perfect, she offered to refund and compensate by paying for our taxi fare to the airport. We however refused, but really appreciated the gesture.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. I had issues with the air conditioner and they fixed it promptly. Extra water, iron and iron board were also provided promptly after being requested. They also organised a taxi to the airport for us at a cheaper price compared to the cost of our trip from the airport.

In summary I like the lake view from the suite, the sumptuous breakfast as well as their excellent service. I would stay in O’Gallery Classy Hotel again if I come back to Hanoi.

We were here 6 nights, we LOVE this hotel!! It is very beautiful with modern decor. Our room was beautiful and spacious, our bed was super comfortable. The hotel is very convenient located in the center of Hanoi Old Quarter, a lot of shops and restaurants. Our room had street view but it was very quiet, we couldn’t hear any noise from the streets below. The service was excellent, we were treated like royalty. All the staff from front desk (Annie, Wendy, William, Moon, Charlotte,...) to doorman (Justin) to housekeeping were all excellent, everyone really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was incredible, so many delicious things to choose from. The rooftop restaurant and bar has great atmosphere and a great view of Hoan Kiem Lake. We also booked the Halong Bay overnight cruise with O’Gallery Boat Cruise (the hotel’s own boat), the experience was heavenly and unforgettable, our suite on the boat was gorgeous with a private balcony .
We’re hoping to come back to Ha Noi soon and would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend it.

We stayed here twice (before and after going to Halong Bay). Booked the first stay with the Lake View, and booked the second stay with no view. Tracy was kind enough to offer and upgrade us free of charge the lake view rooms on our second stay! Check in was a pleasure as they offer you hot face towels and Cinnamon tea and a couple of local sweets while checking in. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and not to mention the beautiful view of Hoan Kiem Lake.

The rooftop bar was also quite high which gives you a good view of the lake and definitely a nice place to just chill with a drink. 2 elevators so waiting is not a problem. Location is quite central but still kind of tucked away so that was good. In front of the hotel is like a little street wet market so this will definitely wake up your senses :)

Thank You Tracy!

Our family of four stayed four nights in two connecting rooms. The service by all hotel employees was outstanding. This included restaurant, bar, front door and reception and housekeeping staff. They were very attentive, caring and so helpful. They referred to us by name and looked after us so well. Thank you to all staff. Of note was one of the managers May who was amazing and so professional. She continually went above and beyond in her service - thank you. The hotel beds were very comfy. The hotel location is terrific, so central. The view of the lake and city from the restaurant and sky bar is gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious - fresh cooked as well as buffet items. It was terrific to see a vegetarian breakfast menu options. Overall we found this hotel good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were so pleased we chose this hotel.

We stayed in The Lucien Hotel & and Spar for 2 nights on 2 separate occasions.
We love this hotel it's location is very convenient right in the centre of the busy busselling heart of the Old Quarter close to the Hoàn Kiếm Lake, restaurants, shops, and water puppet theater.
The rooms are large, quiet, spotlessly clean, and well appointed, we slept very well in the large comfortable bed
We were able to enjoy the complimentary afternoon tea every day between 2pm - 5.30pm and enjoyed the large range of cakes, fruit, and juice available, Jeff and Dave provided excelent and friendly service going out of their way to make us feel very welcome.
The Sky bar has an amazing view, it was a special occasion for my partner and I, and we enjoyed a romantic cocktail or two soaking up the fabulous night time view of the lake it really was magic.
The breakfast was amazing with multiple choices to cater for all tastes, we took advantage of the tasty take away breakfast prepared to cater for an early morning departure. What I haven't mentioned is the enthusiastic and friendly service provided by all staff, always with a smile, nothing was any trouble to them, I would especially like to thank Taylor and the reception staff for ensuring our stay was memorable, this obviously reflects on a progressive and dedicated management team.

We really enjoyed our stay. We arrived on an early train and they were happy to let us drop bags, use the washrooms, then come back at 1130 for (free) early check in. We also booked our 'happy hour' 30% off spa massages at this point, for the same afternoon.

Our room was lovely, only downsides were the two-part bathroom door doesn't latch closed, and the tiled section next to the shower, to make the enclosure wider, accumulates a lot of water which then drains onto the floor, and soaks the bathmat and floor. We told the hotel and they said they'll have a look - otherwise, make a dam with a flannel to stop it..!

Spa massages were good and good price, we both had 60 minutes hot stone, and a free healthy juice afterwards, in the restaurant. We then stayed for the complimentary afternoon tea - lovely mini cakes every afternoon, a nice treat.

We had happy hour cocktails in the sky bar as night fell, lovely view over the lake and good cocktails too.

Bed was super comfortable and room AC worked fine.

Breakfast (again in the 10th floor restaurant) was a good selection from the buffet, plus eggs/pho cooked to order.

The hotel were helpful at arranging a rapid laundry service for us, and always friendly and helpful on the phone and at the desk. We wished we had time to stay another night, both in Hanoi and at this hotel!

We stayed here 3 nights, either side of a trip to Halong Bay and the hotel couldn't have been more welcoming. Yes the rooms are small which made getting clothes in and out of our suitcases difficult but this is fairly normal for city centre hotels. Almost everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. We did have some issues with noise, mostly from a tour group in the hotel, however, the hotel management were quick to respond and resolved the problem even though it was essentially outside their control. Next time we are in Hanoi I won't even look at the alternative's, I will be booking here.

My husband and I stayed at O’Gallery Classy Hotel for a total of three nights around New Year and absolutely loved it. The location could not be better — right in the bustling Old Quarter, right near Hoan Kiem Lake and about a five minute walk to the very busy nightlife area. For us, that was perfect; we were steps away from everything we wanted to see and do in that neighborhood, but with a nice buffer from the noise and raucousness of Beer Corner. The hotel itself is lovely, and our room had beautiful and thoughtful details to maximize space. Breakfast in the restaurant had tons of options and we loved the view! The real highlight, though, was the staff. Every single employee we interacted with was professional and friendly. Tracy in particular went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Moon was also incredibly helpful in figuring out a pickup issue we had with the tour company that we had arranged to cruise Bai Tu Long Bay with. She was a lifesaver! This hotel is an amazing value for the quality of service and I would recommend it to anyone. When we return to Hanoi someday, we will definitely be staying there again.

The Lucien Hotel, formerly known as the O’Gallery Classy Hotel, is a wonderful hotel in the middle of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. I last stayed at this hotel in 2019 and my impression was so good, I booked it again when I returned to Hanoi in November 2022. After being closed for two years due to COVID, the hotel recently reopened.

This hotel is within walking distance to many of the attractions of the Old Quarter, such as Hoan Kiem Lake, the famous Ta Hien Bar Street, and many small shops and restaurants. I have stayed at some five-star international hotels in Hanoi in the past, but the hotels weren’t in a convenient location. The Lucien Hotel is in the middle of it all, which is one of the reasons I like to stay at this hotel.

However, the thing I like the most at this hotel are the staff. The staff (door guys, reception, housekeeping, the bar, and the restaurant) are so friendly and nice, and helpful in every way! I can’t say enough nice things about the staff at the Lucien Hotel. They are amazing!

I would like to give a special thank you to Mia, who is such a delightful person. Mia is so helpful with everything and she’s one of the friendliest people I have ever met in the hospitality industry. She helped us make a report to engineering with a few issues with our room, and she went the extra mile to send something I left in the room to Ho Chi Minh. She took her personal time to pack up my left item and she shipped it to me in Ho Chi Minh. I can’t say thank you enough to Mia!!

I have a few suggestions for the room that we booked, the Senior Suite with balcony. This room comes with a bathtub instead of a shower. As such, there’s no shower hose hanging on the wall, and you have to kneel in the bathtub to wash with the hose. If you stand up, water goes all over the bathroom floor because there’s no shower curtain and the bathtub is very narrow. I suggest that the hotel add a hanger to the wall so that it is easier to shower in the bathtub and I suggest they hang a shower curtain to contain the water while bathing. Additionally, the bath water in our room went from cold to extremely hot during our entire stay. Mia helped us file a report with engineering and I hope that the issues can be resolved for the future guests.

Overall, this hotel is one of the best boutique hotels in Hanoi and I highly recommend it. The staff are among the best in the world! Thank you to the Lucien Hotel for a wonderful stay!

We stayed both in the suite & the basic room on two separate occasions and thought the rooms were both lovely, clean and well decorated, albeit on the smaller side (but that was to be expected in Hanoi/considering the location). Central Old Town location also meant that we were within an easy travel distance to most key attractions.

What really made this hotel stand out was the friendly team and service!
