rooms at the front of the hotel are very small and old. The shower was tucked inside a very small bathroom and was only screened from rest of room by a shower curtain. After we changed rooms to one at the back things improved. We originally got placed in the inferior room because the hotel had no record of our...

Our family party of 13 enjoyed several nights at this hotel, very conveniently located in one of the quieter streets of Hanoi's beautiful, tree-lined Old Quarter. The wooden floored, high-ceilinged rooms are large and very comfortable. Two of the families in our party booked interconnecting rooms with their children. The included buffet Breakfast had a wide variety of food offering...

This place seems a bit older so things like the sound sealed doors to the terraces are broken, making for a noisy night. (We had two different rooms either side of our trip to Halong Bay. Both had the same problem). Not as good as other hotels we've had in Vietnam for similar money.

We were very happy with this hotel when we stayed a couple of weeks ago! We had a Deluxe room which was great, clean and a good size. Was impressed with breakfast and how fresh everything was - especially the bread which is unusual in Vietnam! But the best thing is the location which you just can't beat!

I tried to post this via Facebook while I was in Hanoi but was unable to do so - it appears the Government of Vietnam or someone is blocking Facebook in the north of the country, and did not get to the verification in time which appears to have arisen as a consequence of my problem above. Down to business....

We made a last minute booking to stay here, and perhaps that affected the price we paid. It is located downtown, but next to a very noisy hostel. Be sure to ask for a room on an upper floor and facing away from the street! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good, but lacking selection....

Good hotel downtown. Rooms are nice, and not moist and moldy like some hotels in Hanoi. Staff is nice. Location is great, right in the old quarter. Breakfast buffet is really nice. Large enough selection. Great value for your money. --------- don't know what else to write, you need 200 characters on this thing.

Our room at this hotel was very large and comfortably furnished but was cold. When we rang to reception for assistance, maintenance came up and told us that the aircon did not work so that we cold not get any heating in to the room and would we like a blanket. It is worth remembering that Hanoi is cold at...
