Great staff for the most part but the room had a lot of mold on the ceiling and in the bathroom, and DO NOT book any tours here, a guy named eddy was super nice and enthusiastic but ripped us off on our ha long bay tour (to the tune of almost $40 USD each) and lied about the things...

After one month of travel in Vietnam, the Hanoi Asia Star Hotel takes the top spot. Extremely friendly staff, from the delicious included breakfast, to room service. The room was quiet, although located right where the action is. Very clean and private as well. Cheaper than the hostel private rooms in the vicinity. I can't recommend this place enough.

Disappointed with quality of room but this is due to the travel agent ripping us off! We paid ~ 30 usd. But you can get it for much less online- in which case the price does reflect the standard. Nevertheless shower works and doesn't fluctuate, not massively clean but our bathroom did smell of wee and toilet didn't flush well....

After spending months in hostels it was a pleasant one night stay before my flight. The staff, in particular Tony and Emily were beyond helpful - they helped my friends with booking some flights, and even though they were fully booked, found them another hotel to stay! The hotel is in a good position in the Old Quarter, round the...

Arrived at the hotel hopeful after reading some good reviews and seeing the pictures, however were quickly disappointed. Top floor room and it smelt of mould, which could also be seen on the ceiling, shower was right next to the toilet with no curtain and little power. Unclean and would not recommend. Staff were friendly which made things a little...

They answered all questions clearly and even escort us to the nearest PHO outlet next to the hotel. The gangway and elevator...

We booked for a one night stay through Airbnb and feel this hotel is a great value. Located right in the heart of the old quarter it is steps away from everything. As we arrived very early in the morning our room wasn't quite ready. We were able to walk around the lake, visit the pagoda, get some lunch and...

We booked this hotel online for a 3 night stay from New Years Day, unfortunately when we arrived we had been double booked. The staff offered us a room at another hotel for the evening & said we could return to Asia Star the next day for the remainder of our stay. Although a little inconvenient (especially since our hotel...

We had a nice sized room with two double beds. The en-suite bathroom had a shower stall. The price of the room was very, very affordable and included breakfast. It was a GREAT location in the Old Quarter and walking distance to ALL of the tourist sites within that area.
