This space is directly in Hanoi. As you arrive here, you will likely see many motorcycles and cars on your journey moving in many directions, which is part of the experience in Hanoi. My daughter and I are vegan and we found a lovely vegan spot (IVeganSuperfood) within a 5 minute walk of Hanoi Boutique & Hotel. As we arrived at the space, a staff member came out to carry our bags inside and we were greeted with a tea and snack while the front desk described some of the activities we might enjoy in the area. She also taught us how to barter. We arrived on the floor to our room in this boutique hotel and were given a choice of rooms. The room we chose was in front of the staircase with the beautiful lanterns and we could see this from our room. Water was waiting for us in our room and we learned how to operate the power (key stays in the power holder to keep the a/c and lights running). Every time we had a question, it was promptly answered with care and consideration. I always felt welcome. Breakfast was incredible as my daughter and I got to try vegan phu for the first time because the staff made it vegan for us. There was an incredible buffet of fruit amongst a hot section. This breakfast is much more abundant than any free breakfast at any hotel I have ever stayed at in the U.S. and many other countries. Perhaps the best part of my stay was my conversations with the night receptionist as I woke up early each day and we had some great conversations about the culture, customs, and nuances of Hanoi and Vietnam overall. He even offered to give us a personal tour, which was wonderful. It is hard to navigate the streets of Hanoi because they aren't in a grid format, but he knew just how to get us to many wonderful spots. At the end of the tour, he took me to the pharmacy and translated the issue so that my daughter and I could both get a cream for (a bee sting and a rash). I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The bed is comfy, the breakfast is delicious and abundant, the staff speaks English, and everyone was helpful, friendly, and seemed interested in our travels.

We stayed here in January 2024, and honestly we couldn’t have picked a better spot. The rooms were incredible, the hotel is located right in the downtown core, and the breakfast is incredible. But most importantly, the staff were the best we’ve ever had. They helped us with booking a ha long bay cruise and a tour in ninh binh. They took the time to go over recommendations and make sure we were enjoying our stay. If we ever return to Hanoi we are definitely staying here again.

We cannot recommend the Hanoi Boutique hotel enough.

The hotel is excellent value for money. We booked a suite for a weekend getaway and it did not disappoint. The room was a great size with a separate living area and the bathroom was huge with a roll-top bath and a shower which could fit 4. Towels were changed daily. Complimentary water, tea/coffee, and toiletries topped up each day. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast offered lots of choice. The location of the hotel is also good with attractions, bars and restaurants all within walking distance.

However, what made this stay for us, was the staff. They are hands down the most welcoming and helpful staff we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We’ve both travelled extensively and these guys are second to none. As an LGBTQ couple, we can be weary when travelling as our presence isn’t always well received. However, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. From handwritten, personalised messages with our bedtime chocolates, to Rosie on the front desk giving us a ton of information on everything and anything we needed. Ken and Neo in the restaurant were amazing. One morning, when getting to breakfast at the tail end, they made us fresh coffee and a fruit platter to take up (even though we’d managed to get something from the buffet). Not only that, they had some great suggestions on where we might like to visit that day (and they were right).

We visited during rainy season, but an umbrella was ready and waiting for us when we looked to go out in the evening. Amy and Chloe were even kind enough to allow us late check-out free of charge despite the new guests arriving an hour later. It really was a 5 star experience and we’ve agreed, if we have another getaway in Hanoi, we’ll be back.

Don’t hesitate with this one, it’s a gem.

Only one night but it was such a lovely haven at the end of a long tour. The doorman and then the reception staff were welcoming and gave us good advice about our location and what was around as Wellers on our room, which was beautifully appointed and really lovely and clean. Breakfast the next morning was served by friendly and happy weight staff and the checkout process was made extremely easy by English-speaking reception staff who were genuine in their willingness to ensure our stay had been as easy as possible. This hotel compared favourably with some of the four and five star hotels we stayed in during our visit and I would definitely go back there again or recommended to friends. The customer service manager Lucy was particularly attentive and good in her job. Well done Hanoi boutique hotel

The hotel is located optimally in the Old Quarter. Like most other hotels, it is an old narrow building with old world vibes. It is easy to find, but at times difficult for the car to enter the narrow lane.
We had booked Deluxe Room with City view through MAKEMYTRIP, but when we reached the Hotel, we were allotted Standard Deluxe Room which was inferior to our booked category. The staff was really helpful and provided us details which enabled us to follow up with MakeMyTrip and they sorted it out in 2 hours. During this time, the staff already showed us the new room and shifted our luggage there while we went for lunch.
The room was on the top 9th floor, where the lift does not go, so we have to walk 1 floor everytime. However, the room was great with nice views, comfortable beds, and clean bathroom.
The breakfast had options for vegetarians and vegans, and the highlight was the cold coffee (lighter version).
On the checkout day, our flight was late night, and the staff helped to keep our luggage safe, to weigh it, and also helped with boarding the cab at short distance from the hotel.
Overall, it was a memorable stay for 2 nights. The staff makes the experience top notch, as all of them are extremely friendly, speak great English, and care for the guests. This hospitality is very rare and we will always cherish it.

We stayed here 2 times during our vacation two nights in April and 3 nights beginning of May (because we loved it so much the first time).

Be aware that he classic rooms and some other rooms lack natural light (it did not bother me) so ask about this if it is important for you.

Lucy and her front desk colleague, Rosie, and the rest of the staff are very friendly and try to help wherever possible.

The hotel is lovely, it is in a great location, in the Old Quarter and all of the main sites are within easy walking distance (5 to max 15 minutes). The rooms are clean, well equipped and a decent size for the Old Quarter.

The breakfast has lots of European and Asian choices and is of very good quality. There are some extra's (like pho soup) you can request (included in the price).

I got a very good massage also and it was better (and cheaper) then the massage I had outside later (Hanoi massages are expensive compared to other places).

I wil recommend this place to my friends.

The staff here are bar none, absolutely none. Mai is the manager, and her exceptional hospitality, kindness, generosity, competence, and expertise flow through to every member of the staff there, and so, they are all just as she is. If you are a light sleeper like I am, you are one person or two people travelling together, and you don't need lots of natural light, pay for the deluxe room and ask for room 603 for a quiet, restful sleep. (Photos are of room 603 and breakfast room.) You won't regret staying here. In the future, I won't stay anywhere else.

We spent two nights here and would have loved to stay longer.

An initial issue, caused by an incorrect listing on the Agoda site, which failed to note that the classic rooms lack natural light (other booking sites highlight this) was resolved quickly and without fuss by the manager, Lucy and her front desk colleague, Rosie, as soon as an alternative room became available. They both made it clear that the comfort of their guests is their priority and the manner in which they dealt with this issue is evidence of this.

The hotel is lovely, full of old world character but with all of the modern conveniences that one could wish for. It is in a great location, in the Old Quarter and all of the main sites are within easy walking distance. Staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotless, well equipped and a decent size for the Old Quarter.

The breakfast has lots of European and Asian choices and is good quality.

I would strongly recommend choosing a room with a city view, if these are available.

Just a note that if you use Grab, the hotel is listed as 'Spa Hanoi Boutique Hotel'.

The location of the hotel was excellent for us. We stayed here a total of 3 times as we used the hotel as a returning base for travels elsewhere. We chose to upgrade to the deluxe city view rooms as some rooms don’t have external windows. Rooms have everything you need including a fridge, hairdryer, air con and powerful walk in shower. One room we were offered had a small roll top bath and as Europeans we would not have fitted into it, so we asked to change rooms which was done very kindly. We also were upgraded to a massive suite on one occasion and that was a lovely touch. Breakfast was good with a mixture of buffet and table ordering all included in the price. Spa was excellent.

This hotel has fabulous staff. It is not a 5 star hotel but all the hotel staff act as though it is. From Fiona in reservations to the newest members of staff, their attitude and demeanor is excellent. A stand out mention goes to Lucy as she was beyond amazing, she genuinely cares about each guest having the best time.

Stay here in the calm, embrace the chaos outside the hotel doors. We had so many wonderful experiences here, the energy is palpable!

Great service and assistance. Special thanks to Lucy,

We had a slightly difficult start because there was some disappointment re the room, pictures online are not necessarily representative of the room booked. We were initially given a room which was very small and hard to navigate with bags children etc, my husband could barely fit in the bathtub and there was no seperate shower. They changed our room to one which was marginally bigger with a shower for that night. As our booking was non refundable we couldnt move to another hotel so they very kindly upgraded us to a arge comfortable suite for the next day and even gave us a leisurely check out at 2pm.

Reccomend booking directly on their website because we discovered even their suite etc are better priced on their website than their small rooms on partner websites . Unless travelling solo or if you are just staying overnight the standard rooms are small and no view propably the case with most properties in the old quarter.

Decor and ambience was nice, beautiful paintings and details. They even have a nineteenth century well in their lobby.

Breakfast was very good and they left a little note with some chocolate coins every night on our door handle.

Staff was lovely and helpful and spend a lot of time helping you with reccomendations and even share a useful list of restaurants anc street food in the old quarter.

Our toddler loved Christian who was very cheery and kept giving him too many candies.
