The location is right in the middle of Hanoi's Old Quarter with restaurants, bars, shops and street food right in front of the door. The staff is helpful and - probably equally important - speaks English very well. The rooms are nothing special but not...More

Good central location, but main receptionist was quite pushy with tours. Breakfast was very basic- instant noodles (which tasted like soap once), toast, etc. After two days we didn't bother with it.
The welcome drink was a nice touch but everyday we felt like we...More

There's a shuttlebus of Vietnam Airlines to get you in the city and to your hotel. When you exit the Terminal, walk across the street and then turn right and keep on going the bus platform. You should see it when you walk the bus platform or then the driver sees you and offers rides. Negotiate the price! We paid 100 000 VND\pax (5$) and they took us to our hotel. The bus actually didn't leave before it's full. But it's cheap option. You can also negotiate with taxi driver the fixed price. We could have got the taxi also with 5$\each.
We only took the the private car ride from the hotel back to airport coz we had really early domestic flight so that seemed to be the easiest way. So you don't actually have to take an airport pick-up if you don't want to. :)
