A true backpacker's hostel owned & operated by an awesome Vietnamese guy so I threw on my cape and created a hostel like no other and you know we've got it right! Why only 5 bucks you ask? 'Looks so good, there must a catch. Is there hidden costs?' Nope! ....you're a backpacker right? You're on a budget right? So we cater the price to your needs! Once you are here ... You simply won't want to leave! - The best things about central backpackers are the crazy travellers, super friendly staff, comfy beds, free internet, Breakfast and most of all Free Beer from 7:00pm to 8:00pm every night! Air conditioned, clean rooms, hot showers and did I mention free Beer. - Tour: Do the Halong bay and Sapa trips with us, we guarantee you will get the BEST time and the BEST one with the cheapest price! For Halong Bay tour: we are the 2nd organizer HALONG BAY PARTY trip for guest booking only through the Central Backpackers hostel only. And it is the 2nd tour in Hanoi that stays on a private island in the Cat Ba National Park where is next to the Castaway island and you can join in the crew of young and great fun people and have your own beach with the Bungalows, for Rock climbing, Kayaking and partying. For Sapa trek: We do offer the Sapa trekking tour and going to stay at homestay with the family of tribe hill people and we will show you all of the nicest part of Sapa like the brilliant landscape, the real live, the culture and staying far from the tourist area. We also do some daily tour around of Hanoi as Hanoi city tour, Hoa Lu- Tam Coc, Perfume pagoda, Mai Chau village, Phong Nha cave and open bus, flight or train ticket, visa... This hostel was very fun and lively. Good place to meet people who were all very friendly. Staff were great, big shout out to Harleigh (I hope I remembered to spell it currently). Was a fantastic staff member who was always willing to give us some tips and advice and has some incredible stories to tell. Ask him about the poems. All staff were pretty helpful and willing, they also now have the hostel puppy which obviously makes all the difference! Food here is great, free breakfast and they do a pub crawl every night which is great fun, plus you get free beer. The walking tour is great fun. Rooms were cleaned everyday including the bathroom so very hygienic. Great overall hostel

Nice and Cleaner hostel located in the heart of the old quarter. The staff was really nice and the beds very comfy. Do the free walking tour At 10am. Our guide Lucy showed us some great places and had a lot of advice about travelling in Vietnam and especially hanoi.

Just wanted to say thought this was a great little place to spend a couple of days before catching my flight onward. Morning buffet nice, good bread and catering for vegetarian and vegans a like as well as you omnivores out there. Took part in the free walking tour which is what caused me to pick this hostel in the first place and had a great laugh being led by our great and fearless leader Jack (for those of you new to Asia you'll see what I mean when being taught how to cross a road properly haha). Granted a few places were closed but nothing he could do about that but still allowed us to see where all the places are should we wish to visit again in our own time and includes a lot of extra stop offs then you'd think. Great experience. Thanks Jack.
