Solaria Hotel Hanoi is composed of 60 rooms on 9 levels including Family and Connecting rooms which are perfect for individual clients or families. All of our rooms offer the same services, their differences lie in their size and some extra facilities. As a rather unique characteristic, there are rooms have balconies or spacious living area. A breath of fresh air in the heart of Hanoi Old quarter! Inspired by Vietnamese traditional material, combination of grey and beautified by black, Solaria Hotel Hanoi welcomes its guests in a refined and intimate atmosphere. In each room, traditional material is staged in different shades and subtly punctuated with touches of the grey, the yellow from soil and the black of furniture which we meet in a table, a stunning bathroom… around four atmospheres while offering the conveniences of today"

We just left the Solaria after a five day stay, and it was such a wonderful experience eve despite what was happening in Vietnam during our stay . We happened to arrive after several months of travel just as the city of Hanoi was starting to shut down due to the Covid 19 Virus. The staff at Solaria understood the stress everyone was under, and truly went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They were all unfailingly kind and thoughtful, and really did make the best of a bad situation. I can't stress enough how wonderful they were.

The hotel is located in an excellent spot in the old quarter, about a block or so from the lake, and surrounded by great restaurants and shops. It is on a quieter street, so despite the fact that you are in the middle of everything, there is no noise at all in the hotel.

Breakfast is included in the room rate. It is served in a dining room on the roof, and has lots of buffet items as well as a menu of other selections if you want something other than the buffet. Choices included Eggs Benedict, Bahn Mi, pho, omelets, and several other choices. We had been traveling for two months before we got to the hotel, and this was the best breakfast we had at any place we stayed. The restaurant also serves dinner, and there is a rooftop bar with great views over the lake and the city.

Rooms have excellent air conditioning, very comfortable beds, great pillows, fast wifi and bathrooms with everything you need including blowdryers and robes.

This is the only place I will stay when I return to Hanoi. The hotel itself was excellent, but the amazing staff made it truly exceptional.

We booked the Solaria for 3 nights, but I wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel has only just reopened after being refurbished and it definitely shows, everything is in perfect order. The rooms are clean, tidy and perfect for a home away from home.

The rooftop cocktail bar is absolutely stunning. The staff up there make really good cocktails which you can sit end enjoy whilst looking across the Hanoi skyline.

The food in the restaurant was absolutely first class. We ended up eating there 2 nights out of 3, it was honestly that good. Food at breakfast was also really good.

The staff are the icing on the cake of this great hotel. They are so kind, friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you have a nice stay. They all speak perfect English which was a great plus for us.

The hotel offer a laundry service which I really wish every hotel would offer. If the weight is over 2kg, they charge by kg which is 50kvnd. That is really handy if you’re travelling.

Location is also a massive plus. Right in the heart of old quarter. Very close to the lake and restaurants close by. At weekend, all the roads surrounding the hotel are closed and there is basically a massive street party. It’s really cool.

That might concern some people because of noise, don’t worry, being newly reverb, the sound proofing in the rooms is unreal. I am a light sleeper and I couldn’t hear a thing at night.

Thanks for a lovely stay. Happily recommend to anyone and will be back again.

We were so blessed to book Solaria Hotel after not having sufficient time to do my typical copious research. I read a few glowing reviews and prayed they were right - and thankfully the reviewers were spot on!

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens, 1 tween) would stay at Solaria again in a heart beat!

Super kind and helpful staff, especially Nana and Henry, who took the initiative and went the extra mile and essentially served as our concierge! They answered questions, offered recommendations so we found the best values, made tour bookings for us which were reliable and excellent choices, had the kitchen pack food for our day trip to Ha Long Bay, etc. If you find yourself in Hanoi and somewhat overwhelmed with which tour operators to use, look no further than Solaria Hotel. They took care of us and I know Henry and his staff will take care of you.

We booked a Family room to accommodate all 5 of us. Layout wise, our 3 kids each had their own single bed in the first room that you see when you enter. Next is the bathroom, followed by a King-sized (American standards) bed. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We also appreciated the boutique feel where we recognized staff and they recognized and greeted us.

The hotel is in a super convenient location within walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, the prison, St. Joseph's Cathedral, the lake, night markets, train village, etc.

Amazing value as it also included a yummy daily breakfast with plentiful Asian or Western dishes to choose from, as well as fresh local fruits and pastries galore. (And yes, I've already warned my kids not to expect Bun Ga when they wake up in the mornings now that we're back to reality...)

From check in to check out, everything was pleasant. There were issues of course, but they were resolved beautifully and to our satisfaction. We do love the breakfast. The most beautiful experience of all is the genuine care that a guest will feel. Mr. Henry, the Manager, even provided us with bottled water and fruits before we left for our Halong Bay Cruise. I really find that kind and sweet. As our flight back to Manila is very early, amid the fact that the restaurant is still closed, the kitchen people woke up very early to provide us with delicious take out breakfast. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel! We came here after arriving at another hotel we booked to find it was below standard. We arrived with no booking and were greeted so warmly. We were shown different rooms that were available and allowed us to choose with clear prices that they made sure were cheaper than on booking.com.

The staff were superb, 5* service from them always. Even on the morning we checked out we had a really early transfer so they arranged an early breakfast for us. They were always on hand for any recommendations or advice for around the city and could not fault them in anyway.

The rooms were beautiful and clean, we booked a double room with bathtub and it was super luxurious.

I would highly recommend staying here if you visit Hanoi. Ideally located and complete piece of mind.

Thankyou to the whole team at solaria hotel.

Staff were excellent and gave us a warm welcome with drinks and yummy banana cakes on the day of our check-in. We were offered second and third helpings of the cakes because we liked them so much. They also took such good care of us on the day we checked out, sheltering us with numerous umbrellas to ensure that we got into the car without getting wet. Our connecting rooms were very spacious and tastefully decorated with a bathtub, a shower room, 2 basins and a toilet. Buffet breakfast also had an ala carte menu with a good selection of both Western and Vietnamese food. I was very touched by the staff who gave me a surprise birthday cake at breakfast and sang me a birthday song. Highly recommend the hotel for the great location and excellent service.

The service is exceptionally good, the waiter will take initiative to say hello, very considerate, profesional and superb for their service. The room has no peculiar smell, and the decoration is simple and stylish. It is my favorite hotel. Unexpectedly, The breakfast was delicious, come with variety good enough for a sumptuous breakfast. Some even are served in fine dining way. The waiter will explain a lot to you, recommend you delicious restaurant food, and also have a map. There is welcome watermelon juice and banana cake. I stay on 8th floor, one level up to 9th floor will be the restaurant, and 10th floor skybar. The room is not big but cozy enough, in fact, the price will be more expensive than some other 4 stars, but it definitely worth it. There is a 30% discount for massage services, which is not expensive, but the technicians started chatting in the last 20 minutes, and the massage became not slower. Overall The massage is still good... The new intern and the counter manager Ly are very good Well, I forgot the name of the cute intern. Her English is very good and she loves to smile. They would always ask if there is anyone from halong bay tour agent contact us and assist to talk to them. I chose this hotel as it is near to lotus puppet theatre for water puppet show. Can buy first the show ticket and pick the best seat. Also it is close to sword lake and old quarter..this hotel is definitely recommended...

From even before checking into the hotel to the staff helping take our luggage to our Grab car on our way back to Hanoi aiport, the entire staff has done an exceptional job in hospitality. If you're looking for good value on a 4 star hotel, this is your place to stay.

Before staying at Solaria, my wife and I were coming from Ha Giang loop motorbike tour. We had to reschedule our bike tour to 4 days earlier since the weather forecast during our original timing would have been entirely rained out. Solaria Hotel was able to kindly accommodate our change of plans. We wouldn't be more grateful for their help and flexibility.

After our wild adventure in Ha Giang and checking into Solaria Hotel, we were immediately greeted with an ice cool watermelon drink, a banana cake, and icy cold scented cloth to wipe your face. It was so refreshing. During our actual stay in Solaria, our room became our haven after a long day out adventuring Hanoi. The bathroom and showers felt very clean and our bed was perfectly comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. The Solaria Hotel location is perfectly near all the action without feeling too hectic. It is right off Hoan Kiem Lake, a great place in the morning to get an early morning run in, and also a great place on the weekend to walk with family and friends as they fence off the roads around Hoan Kiem lake for weekend activities, so it's safe for walking.

In terms of service, Mr. Liam was especially hospitable to us during our stay. His careful attention to providing us recommendations for pho, banh mi, cafes, and bun cha were much appreciated as Hanoi's number of options for these types of foods can be overwhelming. He was especially kind in checking us into our hotel early, provided special attention and care during our breakfast in greeting us and talking with us. Thank you Mr. Liam for all the help and hospitality during our stay!

Breakfast options were quite varied, from western foods to vietnamese cuisine. The pho was one of our favorites here to get in the morning!

If you're wondering if you should stay here, I would highly recommend Solaria Hotel, great value for its quality.

My family (mom and sisters) stayed at Solaria for 1 night on Saturday night. The service here is incredible and they offered suggestions for places to visit, things to see, where to get vietnamese coffee, restaurants to try, etc. The staff is super super polite and very helpful, extremely kind and professional and they spoke english well with us. From Friday to Sunday there is a night market in Hanoi that closes down the streets around the lake so this hotel was the perfect location. It is located directly on the walking street and was right by the lake. The included breakfast buffet was luxurious, fancy and had both a selection of buffet items and a la carte menu items. Everything was very delicious.
The buffet is located on the top floor so if you go on the bar side you could see a very beautiful view and can see Hoan Kiem Lake as well.
I can't say enough about the service. We had mangoes that we wanted to eat and when I asked for a knife to cut it, they said they could not provide me a knife due to liability reasons but instead they offered to have the kitchen peel and cut the mangoes for us which they did. They also provided us tupperware and utensils to go so that we could take the mangoes with us to the airport. They also arranged for our airport transfer and provided us advice on how much time is sufficient beforehand to head to the airport for an international flight.

My friend & I booked last minute due to covid changing our travel plans, and it was the best choice we could have made!

Solaria is a fabulous hotel, recently renovated, with extremely helpful and friendly staff (hotel, spa and restaurant/bar staff)! The room & spacious bathroom were super clean, comfortable and modern. Excellent linen and a huge bed with a great mattress. We loved the small balcony and wifi as well. Very central location but still peaceful.

We adored the newly opened restaurant, Chef Jack & his team fed us so well we ate there all 4 nights we stayed - the food was fresh, tasty, creative & off the charts fab! Their included breakfast in the restaurant was the best we’ve experienced (buffet & menu)!

The 2 rooftop bars were also lovely, though the Skybar wasn’t fully useable due to wet weather. I enjoyed a relaxing foot massage at their spa as well.

Hostesses/servers Amy and Kayley were very professional and knowledgeable & treated us like family, you just don’t find service like this much anymore, it’s rare even in 5 Star+ places!

Tracy was our point of contact from when we booked in and was available for any issues or queries we might have had via What’s App 24/7.

Everyone at Solaria was very approachable and efficient with an exceptional service ethic rarely seen anymore! :)

Frankly, this is the best accommodation (in any country) we have stayed in for a long time, a worthwhile experience we will be repeating in all future visits to Hanoi!! It is in the mid-range price bracket, and worth every cent, exceptionally good value in our opinion, highly recommended!
