the hostel's personal is very friendly; they have well organized tours; very good informations for first time beeing in hanoi; the rooms also very nice, daily fresh towels; fresh fruits the whole day! i would book the next time also here!!!!!!
Excellent hostel in a great location. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially helpful when booking a cruise around Ha Long bay. The included breakfast was very good also! Would recommend to everyone visiting Hanoi!
We stayed here two nights, lady staff member very helpful and enthusiastic and always wanted to help us. Entrance to hotel is rather dodgy and if you are planning on coming back after 12 at night, doesn't feel the safest place down the back alley...More

This is more like a b&b there isn't a common room or kitchen for guests so bumping into other guests is rare. You will met people on the tours to halong bay or sapa. The hanoi hostel will organise those for you and they are better value than the ones on the street. The larger hostels would offer a better chance of being people but they seemed to be party hostels so prepare for noise and drunkenness;)
