Beautiful room, large king, desk, mini bar, in room water heater for coffee. Wood floors in the bedroom, marble in the bath. Comfy bed linens and pillow - a really good nights sleep. Extra deep bath tub might be hard for older guests or those with hip knee problems. Good shower pressure. Amazing breakfast with Vietnamese specialties and dim sum...

People say it's the only place to stay in Hanoi, for a reason. Upgraded to the Graham Greene suite in the original part of the hotel, we felt as if we were living in the 1930s but with modern touches -- and with the "American war of aggression" not far from memory, with the bomb shelter and photos of Joan...

This five star hotel is a wonderful place to stay. It is beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff are there to help with what ever you want (and even some things you never thought of). The staff dress in traditional asian attire and bow everytime they greet you. They hold the door open for you...

$$$$$$ We are on tour. We have enjoyed staying here. Service, rooms, etc all wonderful but we would not stay here if travelling on our own. It is in the French quarter. You certainly get what you pay for.

Our large room was in the Opera wing. The decor was tasteful and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was large as well. The daily breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. The spa was immaculately clean and the massage was excellent

If you remove the fact that everyone else knows this is THE place to stay in Hanoi (so there are lots of well-heeled tourists) it was an outstanding hotel and a great experience. The hotel is lovely throughout. Our rooms were spacious and well appointed. Didn't love the open bathroom design (basically the bathroom was part of the bedroom separated...

Wonderful! Staff were incredibly friendly, service faultless and food was very good. Location wise also good, near enough to the shops but away from the noise. A hotel that retains it's colonial charm but with all the modern comforts.

Fabulous central location, nice friendly hotel steeped in history. Deluxe room on the small side and bathroom was poor and dated. We did not eat in the hotel except for breakfast which was very good. There are nice terraces and bar areas to enjoy an expensive drink but that's to be expected in a five star city hotel

Delightful elegant hotel experience at the Sofitel Metropole. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with some lovely welcoming touches, including small macaroons left every day and a mango ina bowl. The gym facilities were excellent and the breakfasts were superb!! As for the service - polite, always helpful and friendly. We enjoyed delicious meals here and drinks in...

had a lovely 3 nights at Sofitel Legend Metropole! The location is amazing- just 1 block from the lake and an easy 15 minute walk to the night market. The room was spacious with a large bathroom- note: if you have trouble stepping up high, the tub/shower combination might be challenging as the tub is quite deep. The bed was...
