My room was in the 2nd floor with a veranda view of the pool. Room was large and amenities appear to be well maintained and clean. Aircon was good, wifi signal was strong. Bed was large although mattress was a bit hard like many hotels in Asia. The complimentary breakfast spread was impressive, not too lavish but came complete with...

After backpacking around a few cities, myself and my boyfriend arrived in Hanoi and quickly learnt it was hard to find a spot where you can sunbathe. After a bit of research we found the Army Hotel had a pool that was open to the public for a small fee. We paid 90,000 each which we both thought was worth...

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights, the room was quite large, with adequate facilities. However, the decoration especially the carpet and the seats sofas looked a bit outdated. The best part was bathroom, which was pretty clean. The staffs speak good english, and were quite helpful. The breakfast was just average, some days not serving the full buffet...

We just came to use the pool here. Cost 90k dong (about $4) per person. Pool was nice, fairly clean and sunbeds ok. Full of energetic Vietnamese children (in the afternoon.) You can order drinks also. Definitely worth coming to use the pool, but don't stay here (bad location and completely run down)

This is a beautiful hotel. Very peaceful and the staff are great! They have a great restaurant available all day and free breakfast. Not a lot of people staying at the hotel. Very easy to get to city centre, with a taxi for around less than $3 AUD. Thank You for a great stay!

This hotel is colse located to shops, lake, interresting places to visit, different cafes. Everything you can reach by foot. The Army hotel is quite big, rooms are clean and in summer time you can relax near the swimming pool. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

Its a nice hotel. Clean, organized, with well behaved and efficient staff. Its just a kilometre or so away from the Old Quarters. Its Lobby is not very attractive but the rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice wash-rooms. Overall a good place to stay at Hanoi.

Army Hotel is a dreary place in a dark lane away from the least interesting end of Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi's otherwise charming city center. My room had a dark brown 1960s decor, with a carpet you don't want to touch with you naked feet, age old furniture, a heavily drapped curtain. The reakfast room was windowless, with an...

This hotel was booked by my company so we came to this hotel without knowing what to expect, but only thing we knew was that this hotel was not that expensive. A mid-range hotel. We were in a suite room, which was indeed huge - probably even unnecessarily huge - with Vietnamese local furniture. Typical local style room. Just extend...
