A hotel with very few negatives.

The Service Team from Front Office to the Cafe Ladies is young, friendly and is able to converse well in English. Nancy from FO was especially helpful with ideas and tips on how to enjoy Hanoi and the Old Quarter better.

The Hotel is ideally located 20m into a walking alley which leads to a small street just 40m away from the night market locale. This means a quiet and unintrusive hotel with convenient access. Grab users also need not be too concern about this as we have no problem just calling and getting them to stop on the driving street. There are many lovely dessert places dot this part of OQ so please enjoy them!

If there are negatives, they are (a) They have nice beef/chicken Pho on their lovely breakfast menu so you may end up not having them as streetfood for lunch or dinner, and (b) Transfer is too above market to be worth considering.

We are currently staying at this hotel and have booked to come back after another tour. The Manager David and staff are extremely knowledgeable and go above and beyond. Their recommendations and assistance saved us due to limited time. The breakfast is first class/fresh offering both local and western (recommend local) options including buffet and a la carte off menu at no additional cost.
The hotel is very quiet and located up a little alley away from busy street in the old quarter within walking distance to most attractions. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and pillow nice and soft. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I travelled to Hanoi by myself when I was 18 years old and this hotel was the first place That I stayed when I arrived! I was immediately greeted by friendly staff who offered me refreshing drinks and fruit and kindly took my bags up to my room. The room was spacious and clean and the air con was a life saver! There was toiletries and complimentary snacks and the bed had been decorated with rose petals and swan towels! It has been 5 years since my stay and I still remember the amazing experience that I had at this hotel. Although I was a young female in a new country with a large language barrier the staff always made sure that I was safe and well looked after, they even offered to keep my luggage safe for a few hours after I checked out so that I didn’t have to carry it around with me until I took my next flight to Ho Chi Minh. Overall, I have amazing memories of Vietnam and staying in this hotel contributed to loads of them! If I am ever back in Vietnam this will be one of the first places I re- visit! Thank you to the staff for having me and for being so amazing and accommodating

This is a small hotel in a quiet side street in the old quarter of Hanoi. It is centrally placed for walking to most attractions but noise was not an issue. However, the room, Junior Suite with balcony, which was on the fourth floor, was dark with a heavy wooden door which we had to leave open all the time to get any light in the room and not as inviting as the photos shown on their website.Breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small - particularly the space between the bath with the shower over it and the wall. We were able to leave our luggage here when we went to Halong Bay overnight. We had an early start to get back to the airport and were provided with breakfast boxes which we did not eat - cheese sandwich made with tasteless white bread, plain yoghurt and bruised bananas. Overall, slightly disappointing.

Despite being perfectly located close to the lake and the busiest area of the old quarter it is situated down a side lane meaning none of the incessant beep-beep from the roads during the night. This hotel is the perfect balance of all the comforts without the high price tag.  The room was a good size, air con worked well, the fridge has a small freezer section and the bathroom had a separate shower that contained the water.  Toiletries provided included pump packs of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Breakfast was a selection from a menu (eg bacon/eggs. noodle soup, pancakes) and self serve brown and white baguettes.  The staff and manager were endlessly friendly and helpful creating a very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel.  I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We don’t recommend that you stay here. We initially booked for 4 nights, ended up leaving after 3 nights as we had had enough and didn’t want to end our holiday here.
The main pro of this hotel is that it is cheap, in a well located area of the old quarter, and relatively quiet down an alleyway.
The service however was atrociously bad. One woman on the front desk was simply apathetic and did not care. Things that went wrong included our bathroom initially being weirdly flooded (had to change rooms), the safe not working (with no mention of fixing when requested), the light flickering (took 8 hours to fix). Bathroom cleanliness was below average. Wifi only worked 50% of the time, and then slow- which was annoying as you can get very little phone service in the hotel. Straw on the camels back was when a hotel staff member tried to enter our room at 10pm without knocking or calling out while we were in bed- luckily we had the chain lock which prevented this. Just bizarre. Find another hotel- it’ll be better than this!

The hotel is very central, practically you walk the Old Quarter from the middle.

Great option for breakfast and a really good price.

Nancy at the reception give us the best service we found until now in all vietnam. She introduce herself and told us where to go and what to do near the hotel. She was very attentive. The hotel it was good, specially for the great location, a bit hidden in a close but the service of the reception was very warm that makes you feel like at home, very comfortable.

We stayed at La beaute de Hanoi for 2 nights. The staff was very helpful providing us with suggestions for restaurants as well as sites to investigate. The hotel was steps away from the busy night life, but far enough to avoid any noise issues. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Also, the breakfast was delicious, especially the Pho.

We stayed four nights and had a lovely room in the back which was very quiet, well appointed with a bright bathroom. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and well engaged with the city including physically getting us tickets to a performance at the Opera House. La Beaute is on a lane, now reserved for pedestrians and motorbikes; it had an old world charm away from the heavy traffic in the old town area.

This lovely small hotel a few blocks from the city centre is tucked away in a quiet lane. The rooms are small and comfortable, likewise for the clean, functional bathroom. From our window, we could look down into the lane below with its comings and goings.

Most impressive is the service provided by the hands-on manager David and his excellent staff. They all work hard to meet your expectations.

The complimentary breakfasts are high quality and cater to all tastes.

This hotel is excellent value and was the perfect location to begin our visit to Hanoi - amazing, buzzing, historical city - and Vietnam. This country is on the move!
