A rooftop bar in which to hopefully watch the action at Tan Son Nhat International airport. One point of contention, although the bar was confirmed to be open, access to the T level by elevator was not. We had fo ask the staff to buzz us up to the rooftop level. (-1 point). Since my last visit, the bar has improved in ambience but the use of space is still mind boggling. Placement of the bar, cashier, pool and facilities are just a bit weird. (Neutral) [Update, I found the sauna and gym which is super distant from the pool, pas the fry-kitchen. What were they thinking? (-1 point).] Also the windows that display the airport are difficult to clean and probably easily get dirty, so it diminishes the whole experience. (Neutral) The menu features several cocktails but strangely the only local beer they serve is the ubiquitous but nonetheless trash 333 beer. (-1 point). You’d think this is the perfect spot to showcase some of Saigon’s craft scene to people transiting through or on short stays in Vietnam. (See above, a 12-year-old could choose a better beer list.) Anyways, the bar is empty and is probably a testament to the above points. Nobody has put thought in terms of how this could become a great place to attract regular and new clientele. I can’t picture this being a regular hangout for myself of my plane-watching aero-dynamic friends. Certainly wouldn’t have come to this establishment if it wasn’t for the welcome drink granted to me by the hotel. If in the mood for plane watching, head a bit up the road to Go Vap to enjoy the aircraft coming in right overhead. The staff at the hotel was very kind and helpful. Check in/out was fast. Room was comfortable and clean. Pool was great and clean. I did not have breakfast, but visited the restaurant in the morning. Limited kind of food due to lower number of guests. My only issue was that the carpet on 8th floor was dirty, needed vacuuming.

Pros: - Clean, spacious rooms - Clean and soft bedding - Helpful staff - Sky bar with a nice view of the airport and HCMC - Airport shuttle is complimentary - Walking distance of airport - Breakfast is decent compared to other hotels - International plug sockets - Starbucks downstairs - Large reception area - Multiple elevators / lifts with secure access via key card only - New decor - Toothbrush, cotton buds and a comb provided Could be improved / Negatives: - Sky bar restaurant prices are very expensive - Shower tiles etc. could do with a clean - Only a shower / hair wash and face wash combined together provided and not separate - Would be better if the water provided is in the fridge and not lukewarm

The ibis Saigon Airport offers a combination of comfort and convenience, and that is what's best about the hotel. The hotel's prime location just minutes from the airport made it the ideal choice for my early flight. The room as you would expect in an Ibis hotel, was compact, but comfortable. I had a good night's sleep, so I can't complain about it. The hotel's restaurant offered a decent breakfast spread each day, with a wide range of options to suit all tastes. The food was fresh, delicious, and the restaurant staff were attentive, always refilling my coffee and checking in to see if I needed anything else. But the true gem of the ibis Saigon Airport was its rooftop bar. With breathtaking views of the airport, it was the perfect place to unwind after a long day. I was able to relax with a drink in hand, taking in the panoramic views of the runway and surrounding cityscape. It was the perfect way to end each day of my stay at the hotel. I recently stayed at the Ibis Saigon Airport hotel. I had a transit of approximately 12 hours at Ho Chi Minh city and I decided to stay here for 12 hours transit to get some sleep. I was travelling with my husband and 2 kids, and went straight to the reception to book my stay. The prices offered at reception were much higher than I was getting online, but I booked with them anyway. The hotel was perfect for an airport hotel experience. The food was expensive though. I didn't really love the food either. The shuttle service to the airport took about 5-7 minutes from the hotel. View from the room of Landmark 81 was pretty good. The bathroom was a bit too dark for my liking. All in all, it was a good hotel for spending transit time in, for good quality sleep.

I had a 16 hour gap between flights so booked a day stay directly with hotel. Prompt and easy communication. Airport pick up and drop off. Was able to sleep a few hours and visit local cafes. Blackout curtains helped a lot with daytime sleeping. Rooftop terrace was relaxing watching planes take off and land. Room was small but clean. Main purpose was rest and relaxation. Cost of hotel was reasonable. Arrived back in Australia from UK feeling almost human.

Staying at this hotel for few hours before my morning flight to other country. This hotel can be consider walking distance to airport but the hotel provide free shutter where you only send your flight info and landing time, they will send people to pick you up. And beside that free shutter back to airport as well. Excellent service provided by the hotel. The room a bit small but just a short rest will be more than enough. The room is clean. There's a mall beside the hotel if you pla ning to eat outside of hotel.

We stayed here for an overnight between flights from Phu Quoc and Perth. It's located very near the airport. The complimentary pick-up service was great with a cool limousine. Booked for King Studio which was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and very functional. I would recommend paying a little more for double the space (Queen Studio/King Studio) The rooftop bar/restaurant was nice and relaxing watching planes take off and land. Breakfast was sufficient and well laid out. Overall great short stay between flights.

Very close to the airport and they do a mini bus service free on request Staff at the hotel very good. There is a restaurant and coffee shop but didn’t use them. Rooftop pool with good views. A clean hotel, close to airport but maybe not for a longer stay
