Bad smell everywhere in the hotel and rooms. Breakfast was not good and is open only till 9.30am. We had roaches in our room but the reception refused to understand the meaning. Elevators were not working from 4pm-8pm due to maintenance and we were on the 6th floor. We asked for room slippers the second day and the room service person walked into the room and looked around to see if we were lying that the slippers were not there. The staff is rude and untrained. At checkout they said that a fork is missing. My husband was so done with these people that he just told them to charge us as we had no energy to challenge the blame. Finally they did figure out that the room fork was probably cleared by the room service people as we had ordered some food one night. Phew ... never again to this place!…

Beautiful hotel, the ambiance is great and romantic luxurious hotel the staff was amazing and spoke english, they open the door and and greeted us every time we came in what is expected from every hotel but l the lotus central went above and beyond. for traveler they have a breakfast with eggs and toast, and for locals the have pho and chow with an excellent selection. there alot of local shop and food place to eat in walking distance and out out of the way from the main busy street of ho chi minh traffic. you can catch a grab or walk to the river side and shop at the famous ben thanh market would defiantly stay here again!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ defiantly worth the price and stay!! great for traveler who want to see Vietnam!!!

Booked this particular hotel as I wanted a pool. Although a little overpriced. Went to the skybar for a drink, no menus on table, was shown drinks menu in a electronic tablet, ordered a small tiger beer. Thought it was 50k, ordered another 1ltr tiger draught 250k, again overpriced, but thought would be easier. When asked for the bill was given total of 542,850! They charged 120 and 350k for the drinks, AND tax on top of that! Queried and argued with manager who agreed to give me 20% "discount". Paid in disgust, to sort out with hotel manager in morning. Aircon in room not cool at night. Called to have it looked at nothing they could do. They put up a sign on lift in the morning advising pool cannot be used until the following day due to a wedding! Had they told me yesterday pool was unavailable I would not have checked in!!!! Spent 2 hours with asst manager and telephoning manager, asking for a refund or extended checkout. Would not provide. Eventually agreed to extended checkout after a few hours. This hotel/bar falsely advertises facilities, could have advised pool not available, then STEALS from guests by advertising a price and charging something completely different. I have not experienced anything like this in any other hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the world. Ohh and today was advised doing lift maintenance, will be 30 mins, 4 hours later no lift, had to walk with luggage from 6th floor. No hotel staff assistance. Eventually got correct change from drinks money stolen AVOID AT ALL COSTS.…

the hotel was well maintained ,the staff were friendly and very helpful the room were clean with a firm bed and the pillows were great not soft and saggy had some firmness to them ,great water pressure in shower/bath would definitely recommend this place

The hotel has rebranded as the Happy Life Grand Hotel. The room was comfortable, breakfast was good and the location and value is good. The pool isn't quite as expected; it's not really deep enough or long enough for swimming, there are only a few loungers, but the pool is a nice temperature. They like to close the pool mid afternoon to turn the area into their sky bar which is a bit annoying. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Nikki who goes out of her way to help and resolve problems.

Arrived at the hotel, all staff we meet were friendly & polite. The room was basic, air con worked, it was clean & fairly modern looking. (4 stars). It was within walking distance of the centre & some tourist attractions. It has lots of bars, restaurants &coffee shops close by. (The Secret Garden restaurant highly recommended). We tried to book an evening on the Saigon river cruise on an app but the app wasn’t working. One of the reception staff, Nikki very kindly rang the company & booked us on the cruise for the same evening. She sent me the booking details & her mob number in case of any problems. She even messaged me to ask if we had got there ok & wished us well on our evening out. The extra star is because Nikki was very helpful & thoughtful.

Stayed here one night based on the pictures. First impression was ok. Hotel a bit old but friendly check-in. We went to our room and were excited to see an automated "Japanese" toilet (bidet), but it wasn't working (we told the front desk and nothing was done). Then I went to pull down the bed cover and an insect ran across the pillow, which was disconcerting! The "blanket" was pretty much a stiff white sheet. Beds were hard and very uncomfortable. There was no hand soap in the bathroom - we had to ask one of the maids in the hallway for some. The pool and bar were not nearly as nice or big as they appear in the picture. We saw a sign in the lobby advertising a special for lunch or dinner for 199,000, so we went to the restaurant for dinner. Our server was confused when we inquired and then she returned and said they were no longer offering that special. We told her the sign was still up in the hallway (it was there when we left the next day). We decided to stay and had a very mediocre meal. In fact, I was still hungry afterwards, so we left the hotel to get some street food! To pay with a credit card, the server went down in the elevator with us to the front desk to have them run our card. When we went to bed, I thought a light in the room was still on as the curtains are so sheer. Definitely bring an eyemask and use a sound machine on your phone as the room has no blackout curtains and is not sound-proofed. Breakfast in the morning was ok. The coffee had a strange flavor. We booked a "premier lessini room" and there was nothing premier about it. Very disappointed, especially as we were going on a river cruise that left from another hotel and I picked this hotel to stay the night as it looked nicer. …
