Just a little back story, 5 years in Asia and I can't check into a hotel without being put in the wrong room every time. Well I arrive and check-in and immediately they tell me they just put someone into my room, will give me a different room and tomorrow I can move. Well I had plans to be in the hospital the whole next day, they showed me my room and it was a miserable closet sized room compared to what I booked. Also 2 tiny beds compared to the big bed I asked. To top it off, the AC didn't work. Then the treat the guest like an idiot games began. They insisted my room was an "upgrade" because I had 2 beds instead of 1 ( I was alone). They insisted AC worked and that I just didnt know how to work it. But neither did they and they couldnt get it to work. They said theyd be back in 5 minutes to check again. 15 minutes later I went downstairs and they were all just hanging out. I tried to check out they refused, said I must pay all 6 days. Laughed in my face for being so stupid not to take the "upgrade". The room looked nothing like picture, it was dirty, AC didn't work and staff were very rude. I had to ask for my ID back over 50x. They said they needed to check the room and took 15 minutes to do so, I touched NOTHING. There was nothing to check. They were petty and unpleasant. Don't give this people your money.…

30 day holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam. We stayed in 9 hostels over our travel. This one had the worst customer service of all. Arrived early in the morning and was fairly ignored after having to wake the receptionist! Only one key issued, therefore you CANNOT run a/c while you’re gone for a comfortable room to return too. I was also separated from my roommate one night who had the key and was given a difficult time by the receptionist to let me in the room. 5 floor hotel w/ an elevator that only operates at the attendants discretion through out the day. Private rooms are extremely small and basic hand soap is NOT supplied, even in the shared toilet/shower. I’ve received way better amenities and customer service for far less money!!

This hotel is in district 1 of HCMC, making attractions like the War Remnants Museum, Note Dame and the reunification palace within walking distance. The accommodation I'd budget, but clean with good WIFI and air conditioning. The shower is s bit small (wetroom with the toilet), but the breakfast is reasonable and the staff friendly and helpful. Overall, good value for money

I stayed here at Galaxy for 2 nights in Nov in a private room with private bath. It’s an excellent, backpacker-friendly hotel/hostel in the center of Ho Chi Minh. Its location is perfect, within walking distance to all the major city sights. You just have to walk up an alley about 50m from the main street so you still get some quiet, away from all the noise on the busy streets. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Tim, one of the friendliest & most helpful hotel receptionists I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. From the check-in process to explaining to me the sights in the city, while noting the important details on the map, he did everything with such a warm & welcoming vibe. When I asked about a specific place in the city that I wanted to visit, he looked it up and marked it on the map. He also booked the Cu Chi Tunnels for me, again with some extra information & recommendations for me. And he gave me tips on taking the taxi to/from the airport. He also speaks excellent English, which was absolutely helpful. And when I was about to walk around the city in the afternoon, he looked outside and said it may rain so he let me borrow an umbrella, just in case. It’s one of the best hotel receptions I’ve ever had! As for the room, I stayed in a single room with AC, private bath, and mini-fridge. The bathroom is clean & spacious enough. The wifi worked very well in my room on the 4th floor. Breakfast was included, served 7am-9:30am, mostly eggs & bread or noodles. The rest of the staff was equally helpful & friendly. Thank you for making my stay pleasant!…

We booked for a 7 seats car with the hotel for pick up to airport as we were carrying alots of bags and the reception did promised us the price of USD 9 is for 7 seater's car even though we are only 4 pax. On the day itself, a normal sedan car came and pick us up and it was 4am in the morning, the receptionist didn't even bother to inform us that the driver is there as the driver just stood outside and stare at us.. till we walked to the car and saw it is a sedan car!!!! But what we can do? It was 4am! So we tried to squeeze our bags in and the driver really SQUEEZED our bag!In the end, we still need to squeeze in with our luggage on our knees as the cat boot couldn't fit in all of our luggage ... I don't know how the hotel can gained 8.2 stars, for me that was the worst hotel I ever stay.Small room, lousy breakfast. Receptionist don't know how to smile and greet us. Poor WiFi.For the money that we spent, that's definitely other better choice. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL, U WILL REGRET!…

Booked through hostelworld which had very high ratings of this place. We booked a 5 person room. The location is great, the beds are comfortable and the AC worked well but that’s all this place has going for it. The bathroom was randomly situated right in the middle of the room by a wall that was put up there and not sealed off at the top which kept making the room damp and gave you absolutely no privacy as you could hear everything. Because it was a wet room the water from the shower got absolutely everywhere and stayed wet as there were no windows in the shower part of the room. The shower was also average, the pressure was weak and the water never got even warm even though it was left running for ages. Luckily the communal showers on the first floor were way nicer so we showered there. The staff weren’t very talkative but helped us book a tour to the chu chi tunnels for a very cheap price. It also didn’t seem like anyone else was staying there with us so if you’d prefer somewhere quieter, this might be the place for you. However I wouldn’t stay here again if I was coming back. …

A nice little hotle in a great area in Ho Chi Minh. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable with air con and clean bathrooms. The staff are nice and helpful and they sell tickets for tours to nearby attractions. The breakfast is simple (bread, eggs, coffee) but can't complain when it's free. Good value for money.

Hotel is very very very near the pubs and bars district in HCM, hence there will still be clubbing music past midnight. If you’re a light sleeper, please do not stay here (might need earplugs if you do). Location is awesome, near to many food places, shopping centres and markets. Hotel also provides simple breakfast (egg, bread, banana and tea/coffee). Also, they collect your passports until you check out.
