LOCATION ( important notice, please read carefully before booking ): Minh Chau Hotel is in the center of Ho Chi Minh city, 5km from airport, 750m from Train Station, just 3km to the downtown where you will find Ben Thanh market, Bui Vien / Pham Ngu Lao backpacker area, war museum, central post office, Reunification Palace, and Notre Dame Cathedral. Close enough to enjoy all the features of downtown, but just enough distance to leave it all behind to have a quiet night's rest with truly local life style - far from crowded noisy tourist streets - ( taking you about 60,000 VND by taxi from hotel to the all the mentioned tourist sites ). The Hotel rooms are good, spacious, with competitive pricing compared to similar hotels in the downtown area with rates up to 50% lower. Mitsubishi elevator accesses to all rooms. We are located in a very secure area with local Government Buildings nearby. You came to Vietnam, so make sure you enjoy the real Vietnam. This area is a traditional Vietnamese neighborhood featuring many cafes, restaurants and shops in a traditional/ non-touristy environment. The food in these restaurants and cafes are very traditional, with a few featuring english menus. Stayed 3. nights here and must say we enjoyed our stay. Comfy, excellent Wi-Fi, water always hot, good location, friendly staff and excellent value for money needs a bit of a touch up though otherwise would have got full marks.

Amazing time. Fun interactions. Great food. My favorite part was when I ate the food. The atmosphere was inviting and really celebrated Vietnam. Minh and Tim were especially fantastic. They provided a great mindset and vibe.

Stayed here three nights with my family, to be honest the photos look better than the hotel actually is. It’s a bit rundown in every way however It’s reasonably quiet for Ho Chi Minh city, although being tucked away from the city centre did mean taxis to get around. The hotel arranged a Mekong Delta tour for us & taxi over to district one where the tour began, she also recommended Sorrento coffee to us, which was a bit tricky to find but a lovely little oasis.

Welcoming was warm and Hoa, at the reception, was quite helpful. The rooms are clean, cleaned every day, without asking. Equipment works fine. Not quite in the center bus easy to have a taxi, very reasonable price: 25-80d according to where you go. That’s $1 to $4... Thank you so much, Hoa 😊👍

We stayed for one night, the staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is near most places we wanted to visit, the rooms are clean and nice. After we checked out we left our luggage there and used the bike that we had rented there too to roam the streets and when we came back it was untouched. The hotel also has a rooftop restaurant, which we did not try because we wanted to try other places but it's there. And at the end they'll call a taxi for you if you want.

You get what you pay for and no frills in this unusual hotel. Both Alex and the lady at reception were extremely helpful booking us a trip and taxis. The bedding and towels were clean and bed hard but comfortable. However our room had only one window, which faced internally and bare magnolia walls which made it feel a little claustrophobic. Bath was chipped and stained. However what more could we expect for the price we paid? Ate well at Vietnamese street restaurant round the corner.

A clean, tidy, fairly quirky Hotel in central Saigon. Whilst not in the centre of the City (if you consider the backpacker area of District 1 the centre) it’s easy enough to get a taxi or you could walk (but not in the Summer!!!!). The Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, letting us extend our stay for a small charge on the day we left as our Train to Da Lat didn’t leave until late evening. The room was spacious and clean and the bed, big and comfortable. This is a nice place to stay if looking for a budget Hotel close enough to the main tourist area.

This hotel is totally fine for what it is. It's a cheap hotel with very clean rooms and a friendly, helpful staff. My room was a basic room with a TV, A/C, bed, desk and bathroom. The A/C worked great, which was good because outside was humid and hot. The TV worked, and like I said it was a clean room which is my #1 priority. It was also quiet, which is my second priority. Saw a couple other guests, but for the most part not real busy. They offer an American style breakfast (fried eggs, toast, coffee) on the 4th floor/terrace upstairs which had some nice views of the city. The staff is very helpful - the front desk lady used her own driving app to call a car for me so I could pay a cheaper rate than a taxi. It's located in a busy neighborhood with lots of shops and traffic. Convenient to a lot of stuff in the city.…

Upon arrival, as with may other places in the city, there isn't going to be any parking for cars, only motorbikes. This location does have an elevator, which makes moving luggage easier, but the elevator is also quite small so not many people or luggage can fit inside. The rooms are fairly large with quite a large bathroom tub. The room is a bit dim due to the fact that they still used the old incandescent bulbs which lacks a bit in brightness and looks quite orange. Hopefully in the future, they start using more modern bulbs which would be a cheap way to brighten and liven up the rooms. There is a living room/ semi-kitchen area which is nice for multiple people. There isn't a full kitchen, simply a sink and microwave along with plenty of shelving space. The hot water comes hard and fast which is fantastic for those of us who love to take hot showers. Overall, the room was a good value considering how cheap it is. The amenities are fairly unique and they're available on the top floors which includes a restaurant, a salon and a very nice rooftop bar/eating area. When staying here, I was seriously not expecting a salon near the top floor next to the restaurant but having that option is really nice for anyone who wants a little bit of pampering at a reasonable price. The seating area on the roof is incredibly peaceful and a lovely place to just relax whether you're eating from the restaurant or if you brought your own food.
