I had a nice room (recommend any X03 room) although my friends rooms were much smaller, so the upgrade is completely worth the price. Just note that the location is down an alley off the street, which raised concerns for getting cabs/ubers and late night safety (although I felt fine about it, while others in my group did not).

Hotels in Saigon are more expensive than the rest of the country, so $30 doesnt get you as much here as it does elsewhere. That being said, the hotel was a great budget option, and best of all, it allows you to stay close to all of the interesting stuff, without having to stay in the backpackers part of town...

What a great location. Very quiet for a hotel in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City and a walk to so many tourist attractions. A small hotel down a laneway with very friendly helpful staff. My husband and self travelled with our adult daughter and had 2 rooms which were not huge, but very comfortable.
