Just stayed for 3 nights and it does exactly what it advertised, a cheap place to rest your head with friendly staff and some freebies thrown in, the surrounding area is a bit of a shock but once on the Main Street it's all the same anyway, don't expect any creature comforts though and the beds were very hard if...

They give you a locker. It's supposed to be safe. I left my money and passport at the locker, when I came back, all my money was gone. It was my second day in Vietnam. The people at the hostel didn't know how to handle it. The police came and said that I couldn't prove that I had that money...

Stayed two night in a private double room, having made the reservation on agoda. Paid around £14 a night including breakfast. Having stayed here before (in a dorm), I knew the location was great- three minutes walking to Bui Vien and 20 to Ben Tanh yet on a quiet alleyway so you can sleep. Room had a private, hot water...

The hostel is in a good location, a 15 minute walk from many of the tourist sites and a five minute walk from the main tourist street. The dorm rooms are clean and cool, which makes for a restful sleep at night. However, my favorite part of the hostel was the friendly service given by the staff. They spent nearly...

Phan Anh was just perfect for a traveler like me who doesn't necessarily need the party vibe or lots of people around me. It is situated on an alley that looks slightly shady but don't worry, all alleys are the same in Saigon. I stayed at the female dorm and found it clean and sufficient with sheets and a towel....

Couldn't ask for a better hostel experience. Clean rooms, awesome breakfast, one free beer from 7-9 pm (otherwise its just 1/2 dollar). They will help you book most tours at decent prices. Just go for it without looking further.

We really had a goodtime with Phan Anh hotel. Our lasted only 3 days. The position of the hotel is near Bùi Viện and other street that you can actually walk to anywhere you want in District 1. We had 6 people in our group and it costed total 3 million VND for the room (with 8 beds) in 3...
