Certain renovations had been done. The new management has certainly "cleaned up" the sleazy acts observed by travelers in earlier reviews. The location is lousy: on a very busy intersection far from the city center and inconvenient if you want to be near downtown. The room was clean, but a little dated. The bathroom was nice - Bathtub with separate shower stall and brightly lit sink/vanity. Hot water came out instantly and water pressure is good. The air conditioner works great. Can control from Low to High setting from the bedside control panel. Free in-room wifi with decent speed.Free internet access. Mineral water (x2 bottles) and coffee/tea making facilities / ready to drink sachets are provided daily. The gym is small and pretty useless but not bad if you wanted to just do a little cardio. The rooftop pool was nice, small but well maintained.

This is a nice 4 star hotel with pretty large rooms and friendly staff.
They were kind enough to upgrade us to a larger room during most of our stay. The room is pretty clean. The furniture is somewhat dated especially the hair dryer, must be at least 20 years old. This hotel is catered to large groups of Chinese, Koreans and Phillipines, and sometime Vietjet staff. It has a fairly good size swimming pool on the 5th floor with exercise room. The pool is well maintained but doesn't seem very popular. Be very careful when swimming because part of the pool is quite deep (2 meters). They have a casino on the 2nd floor (only foreign nationals allowed), and a massage parlor on the 5th floor. They have a very good buffet breakfast in the morning with variety of Vietnamese & international dishes. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, I can mention a few: Ms Zuki, Victor & Man (concierge), Linh (buffet reception). I like this hotel because it is located at one of the best locations in Phu Nhuan District. I will come back again.

Stayed here for 3 nights from Dec-27 to 29,2023 in room 730.
This hotel serves both Indian & East Asian tour groups and has a swimming pool in the 5th floor, casino in the 2nd floor & breakfast buffet dining in the ground floor.
Good WiFi which doesn't need password and they also served welcome drink as orange juice.
Since me and my parents were staying in the same room, 3 beds were provided for triple sharing.
Inside the room, is also a central table near the beds which has an in-built black multi switch console with clear labels for which controls what, so easy to use and controllable from the comfort of bed itself.
The view outside our room was that of adjacent Saigon houses so we could watch the rooftops and local residents activity.
The breakfast buffet options were good.

The housekeeping could do a MUCH better job cleaning the room though because we found several dirty areas.

When I use room make up service, I didn’t feel clean and hygiene at all. The floor, table, chair are still dirty and you still see dusty very where. They didn’t clean the room properly. The worst thing is, all the room cleaners here they use the guest’s used towels to clean every thing like the toilet, sink, the bath floor. I felt very disgusting and I will never use the hotel towel again. I bought my own towel for myself. It’s so bad that they don’t care about hygiene at all, don’t care about what they did wrong to their guest. Sometime I check my new towel that provided by hotel, I still can see the dirty yellow points on it and I can’t imagine if it’s a sh*t.

The hotel is situated close to the city centre. The room where we stayed was well appointed with all the amenities that one could reasonably expect. The breakfast comprises a good spread of different cuisines.

The flip side of our experience at this hotel was their rigidity with regard to the timings for breakfast. Due to a miscommunication by our tour agent we were expecting the breakfast service to be open till 10 AM whereas the time of closing (as we were told later) was 9.30 AM. Some of us accordingly came at around 9.15 AM to eat their breakfast. However, at the stroke of 9.30 AM the restaurant staff abruptly cleared the food items, and started cleaning the place while some guests were still eating. Moreover, we noticed that the restaurant staff did not replenish the items which had been depleted by around 9.15 AM to 9.20 AM or so. When we reported this abnormal situation to the Hotel Reception we found their response to be utterly lacking in courtesy, and the Manager on duty was quite rude towards us. We did not expect this type of behaviour from a hotel of this category.

Well this Hotel has certainly seen better days!
In desperate need of upgrades and definitely needs cleaned up as not clean at all. The entrance to hotel looks awful with filthy carpets and smells of cigarette smoke.
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but the checking in and out was quick with very little said or information of the surrounding area offered.
The pool area is dirty and the water was cloudy.
The food they serve is very good and the prices are very good I must say.
The location if you want to be in the centre of things with good choices of places to eat and drink is not great. You simply couldn’t walk! It would take around 45 mins and to be honest it’s through some dodgy looking streets. Taxis are needed.
Very disappointed as we only had three days in Ho Chi Minh City. First day arriving 4.30pm, 2nd day an all day trip to Mekong Delta and 3rd day only enough time for the war museum and an open top bus tour.

I had a near death experience on March 16, 2023, 2 days ago at Ramana Saigon hotel's swimming pool. The pool area and changing rooms are filthy. The hotel is a very old with an outdated and stupid design. One side is 0.8m is like for kids. The other side is 2m deep. Between 2 depths is a slippery slope. I'm 1.6m, felt that the water is too low at 0.8m. So I went the the middle of 2 depths. I was going down to test the water but suddenly my feet couldn't hit the bottom to go up. I don't know how to tread water even though I can swim. I got panicked, lost control and was screaming for help. My friend who was standing at 0.8m level reached out to pull me. When I could grab the pool's side, he was slipped to the 2m depth and had the same trouble as I was. He cannot tread water. I was screaming for help. There was a Caucasian man who brought a big speaker to the pool, indulging himself in loud music. At first he couldn't hear. But when he heard, he looked at us with a normal look as if nothing is happening. I was screaming "help, help" and 2 staff ran out from the gym, jumped to the pool to save my friend. The other guest was still in his music and showed no emotion. I asked the staff how many people have died in that stupid designed pool. They said none, and guests just had the same experience as I had and they already jumped down the water for rescue!!! If my friend was in trouble before I could reach the pool's side, both of us could have died. If the staff couldn't hear my scream or were late for 3 minutes, my friend could have died. We thanked God for saving us and thanked the staff for rescuing, but would never again go back to Ramana Saigon hotel. The first as well as the last. I don't often write reviews but think I have to write here for other people's precaution with that stupid 2m depth pool design at Ramana Saigon Hotel and the steep slope in between 2 depths, let alone children. Save your life!

My sister and I recently stayed at Ramana Saigon Hotel while on a tour with Inspiring Vacations. Hotel was great, spacious rooms which were very nice with comfortable beds as well as efficient bathroom. Breakfast was good with lots of choices.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
I had a massage in the hotel Spa facility. The massage was firm but nice until the masseur began to massage the lower part of my arm. It really hurt and I asked her to stop - which she did however did exactly the same on the other arm and I again asked her to stop because it was really hurting me. When I went to change after the massage I noticed that both of my arms were badly bruised. I spoke to reception who then got the masseur but with the language barrier it was very hard to communicate however they were both surprised to see the bruising.
The tour host made an official complaint to Hotel management and I was given a refund, however I would just like to caution anyone who goes to the Spa for a massage that this is what may happen to you.

If there was an option for zero stars, this hotel would get that. We needed a cot for our son, when it got delivered the gentleman did NOT knock and just proceeded to enter our room as i was getting changed, this is very alarming being a younger female traveller. Also my toddler could’ve run out the door or been behind the door. The breakfast the first day was great however then the second day they only offered Indian options and other foods were very limited, hardly got to eat anything. The floors are EXTREMELY dirty. My son would walk barefoot for literally 20 straps approximately and his feet would be completely black. The floors all smell like smoke if someone has used the smoking room as they keep the doors open. The hotel rooms themselves are extremely outdated although the beds are comfortable. Our water in our room did not get replaced our entire stay either.

Overall, very disappointed and would never recommend this hotel especially if you have little ones.
