Detailed Reviews
Everything is top notch from reservation to check out. The staff is incredibly helpful. The facilities are terrific (way, way better than I expected for the price!)
I had a room on the mezzanine and while a little noisy, the team kindly gave me earplugs.
Air conditions and water pressure work fantastic. Room had a Kitchenette. Was way bigger than I needed for 1 person. Place is spectacularly clean!
There is free laundry (DIY). Good kitchen facilities with free coffee. Good security as well.
The one thing to note is that the location isn’t super central to a lot of the diggers and good restaurants but everything is less than USD$1 (or 10ish minutes) away by Grab motorbike.
Can’t recommend this place enough!

This is the one! We have stayed at Christina's multiple times and will keep coming back. Thu and his staff are amazing. You are welcomed and cared for like a true guest each and every day of your stay.
Location: Can't beat it! It is a central location yet down an alley just enough to enjoy a quiet stay. Local transportation (i.e. Grab) were able to easily find us, and quickly. At the end of the alley (across street and to the right) is a Circle K which is great for snacks and drinks.
Room: The room is spacious, clean, and came with extra touches that make all the difference. There is a fridge/freezer that is stocked with a few drinks at reasonable prices. There is a water bottle that you can fill up with filtered water just outside the rooms door. This is a life saver from carrying heavy water from the Circle K. The balcony gives perfect views and space to watch the activities in the alley. The bathroom has shampoo and body wash which is very convenient. Laundry service is provided at a very reasonable suggested tipping fee. Service is usually same day. The staff will check in to see if/when you will like cleaning service too.
Joi Cafe: The addition of the Joi Factory (cafe) downstairs brought our stay to the next level. The food is delicious and perfect for a quiet escape any time of day. The staff are kind and the service is fast. There is seating on the second level which is open and inviting.
The easiest decision to book. Just do it and thank yourself later.

Christina’s Hotel & Cafe is a pleasant Eclectic Boutique Hotel to stay. Stayed in the studio apartment with a kitchen and a larger refrigerator.
The shower and batch was good with hot water and nicely tiled inside new and updated.
Air conditioning is cold and the bed was very comfortable!! Very nice
Very Clean with new rooms and Coffee Cafe on the first floor . Rooms priced competitively for the area.
Really the contour and layout is more of an Air bnb concept. With a peaceful coffee
Shop layout encompassing the majority of the first floor.
The cafe is vegetarian only and is quite good for the foods and drinks we had there.
Things I did not care for were :
No cable or local TV Channels only Internet smart tv with You
Tube and Netflix option if you sign in with your Netflix account. Got by without regular TV & Cable.
No phone in your room or on the floor so , need to send a email for assistance or go down in my case 6 floors to ask for assistance.
Further 16 or 17 letters to sign in PW to get on the internet. Time consuming &
Frustrated in several attempts to get on line for the tv and regular internet.
Not consumer friendly .
The location is off the Main Street and the rooms are very quiet.
So in conclusion, would recommend this property to others
Thumbs up đź‘Ť for a nice stay.

Response from Thu Nguyen, Owner at Christina's - Hotel & Cafe
Responded 8 Sept 2020
Hi Larry - Thank you so much giving us the opportunity to make things right after some initial misunderstandings. Your detailed feedbacks are extremely helpful and we think many guests will be able to benefit from reading this review...so much so that we would like to use this opportunity to bring attention to a few items: 1. Getting to our place can be very confusing so please make sure to review direction prior to your arrival, especially those not booking via Airbnb. It’s never fun to get lost upon arrival. 2. We do our best to list our amenities as accurately as possible, but as you rightly stated, we are not a typical hotel. We try to provide what we think is more relevant to a good guest experience and sometimes we can miss the expectation of those who expect us to have old hotel amenities, such as landline phones and cable TV—we’ll try to make this clearer. 3. Last but not least, we do try to share our passion for our work, even in the context if a wifi password, and we forgot how annoying it can be to enter such a long password after an exhausting arrival. We’re working on changing this. Again, thank you so much for choosing Christina’s and we are happy that you still recommended us after a not so pleasant start. Stay safe and see you on your next visit. Sincerely, Team Christina’s

“Seriously best host ever so far. We had a really great experience during our stay. The host s genuinely helpful and dedicated to us to change the room cuz we changed our mind to a balcony room, always give attention if we need anything else and take into account every little thing that helps make us feel comfortable and happy. My friend is back from NZ, the host carefully asked me his flight number so she could check and arrange our room in advance. Highly recommend! Thank you so much for making our stay the best stay ever.”

I could have had any better place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City! I am a seasoned business traveller but now traveling more on as private / solo traveller. So have seen the all 5 stars hotels during my active years.
Chisrina’s Place was truly a wonderfull surprise: sparkling clean, large rooms, lovely staff who all went that extra mile to provide you whatever you needed: personalized greetings & recommendations, loading an local app, tips for your stay / your interests etc. Their service attitude and personalities so unique that after a day I felt like I was at my home.
I would not get that from any of traditional big name 5 stars.
In addition, you met in the evening in the lobby lounge area fellow travellers, all extra-ordinery individuals, with who shared their daily experiencies with you.

We chose Christina’s place because of the vegetarian cafe downstairs. Even though the stay is right on top of a cafe, it was quiet. Christina’s place is very closed by to shops, entertainment, and famous places in Saigon. It’s clean and neat. We didn’t cook but it has basic cooking utensils. There’s regular maintenance schedule and laundry comes with additional fee of about $2. Staff is super friendly. Cafe downstairs also has a large menu. We were lucky to bump into an open mic night. The atmosphere was great. You can follow Joi Factory on Facebook to see when they have open mic. We liked it so much that we booked an additional night. Definitely would recommend.

The place is perfect for a short business trip or just simply a staycation. The location is great, near a busy shopping street and there's a huge bookstore just 5 min walk away. Professional service and super clean room. I especially like the Joi Factory cafe which serves vegan food and amazing drinks. Overall Thu's place is just as advertised. Highly recommended!

A cozy, super clean and tidy room. I only stayed for one night but was impressed by the warm check in process and the cleanliness. The coffee downstairs is cute. I did enjoy the vegetarian meal and coffee for breakfast with such a good taste of music from the host

I never really write a review, but this place deserves one. I travel A LOT and stay at a lot of Airbnb’s. This IS THE SPOT!!! If you’re a traveler like me or just on the road all the time, you’ll notice that you need little essentials here and there. This place has it all. Wi-Fi is excellent, coffee shop + restaurant on the first floor, laundry on-site, multiple places to eat (steps from the front door), and a big market for essentials is only a few blocks over. Money exchange at banks, ATMs, and jewelry stores are also within walking distance. They are located close to everything and are also away from noise pollution. Lastly, the staff is very kind and communication is next level. I’ve stayed all over Saigon’s Airbnb’s, from condos to skyscrapers… this is my favorite.

Hi - We are not providing breakfast at this location. However, there are so many restaurant just a quick walk to the main road, serving pho and all sorts of local dishes. Also very close to Thai Binh market, which opens at 5:30 am. Our team goes there for breakfast, and there are also vegetarian and vegan options all around. I wouldn’t worry about not finding food here =)
Are you doing Day Trips with Onetrip? Because all of our Onetrip experiences have breakfast and relevant meals built it. For example, we have the absolute best Onetrip Cu Chi Adventures =). Our Mekong Delta experience is also very immersive and all inclusive.
Make sure to check to see if your tours are all-inclusive and if they take commission from restaurants and shopping stops—this is how some companies run tours at money losing prices. Just ask them before you book.
If you can afford to pay a bit more, Onetrip Adventures, which is also within the Christina’s ecosystem, is a great value for the experience you get. Just check out Onetrip on TripAdvisor.
Let us know if you need further help.
Cheers,
Team Christina’s
