I truly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Des Arts Saigon. Modern hotel, attractive design and room, very clean and comfortable and outstanding breakfast offers. All staff are super friendly and professional. Management is really praised for running this hotel as what 5 stars quality should exemplary mean. I’m loyal Accor diamond member and also enjoy the lounge. Specials thanks to Ms Uyen and Ms Huyen Guest Relation at the lounge; and at Resturant: Ms Trang, Manager; Ms Tram and Ms Uyen, waiters. I’ll definitely return several time to this prestigious hotel. Is a true M Gallery boutique hotel and is generally well appointed. Only minor problems with the room in this hotel opened in 2015 but showing NO signs of wear and tear. Staff are highly trained and exceedingly helpful. There is a culture that service is given graciously and not for a gratuity. The Conceige and Doorman are first rate. Only negative comment is that there are no USB charging points in the room which assumes you have plug adapter with ports. Be prepared for a requirement of a daily provision on credit card approvals when you pre pay your accommodation through Accor. The rooms lack draw space and almost assume the clientele are 1-2 night stays who don't unpack from a long journey. Yes it is expensive but M Gallery Collection always is.

Nice hotel right in the middle of the Saigon part of Ho Chi Min City. This is probably the best part of the hotel - the central location! The public spaces are all-right but not spectacular. Ground floor has a bar and sitting area, but it is very small. When the piano is being played, it is lovely, but you cannot talk to anyone sitting next to you - too loud! Service in the bar just ok. Top floor has a pool and some seating area. Unfortunately, it is totally in the sun, so if it is hot, it is useless! Also, it is a very small area for such a huge hotel, so very crowded at the times that you would want to use it. Rooms are adequate, but certainly not 5 star as rated. if you are lucky enough to get a room overlooking the main thoroughfare it will be lots of fun to watch the hectic pace of all the motorcycles and scooters below! Bathroom small, but adequate. Hotel nice and clean. The restaurant for breakfast and the special Friday night fish buffet is very nice. Breakfast has lots of options from Western to Eastern to anything in-between. Good coffee if you ask for special espresso or capucino - the regular coffee is awful! I must comment about the Friday night fish buffet. It was highly recommended by staff, so we decided to go. First, as four Caucasian women we were seated in the back of the restaurant, well away from all the Vietnamese. No air-conditioning, no view and very poor service in this section of the restaurant. All other Caucasians were also seated in this area. There was no mistake - serious discrimination! Also, one evening we decided to eat in the lobby bar, because we had a very large and late lunch. I had the bahn mi... worst one I have ever had, and we were in Vietnam! This, along with a glass of wine was $42!!!!! We don't usually eat in the hotel bar, but this was really ridiculous, so beware if you go there! Otherwise, a nice hotel, but nothing to write home about!!…

Good: - Gorgeous room with very quality appointments - Excellent location in District 3, easily walkable to great restaurants. - Jaw dropping roof top pool view - Very helpful and friendly staff Bad: - There is no door for the toilet in the room, just an available sheer curtain. It’s completely open to the room! So if you’re traveling with family, you guys will all have to be *very* comfortable with each other.

Really enjoyable stay at this hotel. The hotel enjoys a central location which makes exploring the city fairly straightforward. The hotel facilities are extremely good from the rooftop swimming pool and bar (which becomes an entertainment mecca for tourists and locals alike enjoying a dj and brilliant views across the city), to the restaurants, gym and health spa. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a real treat catering for western and Asian tastes.

Pros: - Handy location - close to a few major sites. - Friendly and accommodating staff. - Nice big room - we stayed in an Executive Studio room with Business Lounge Access. - Comfortable bed. - They gave me a lovely surprise birthday cake. Cons: - While there a is a rooftop pool, there isn't a lot of seating around it, and no umbrellas for shade. - The shower pressure was low. - The light switches in the room were odd. The switch for the toilet room was outside of it and on a wall near the bed. - The food and breakfast options in the Business Lounge weren't great.
