We spent 5 nights at the Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bedroom was clean and a good size and the toiletries were replaced every day and nothing was forgotten by the room cleaners. There was a water cooler located on the floor to fast fill the kettle and water bottles which was great. The service at the front desk to assist in planning our days was excellent and the suggestions were very helpful. The hotel is also in a good location for walking to explore. The pool area was great to hang out and watch the monkey's antics after a day exploring. The Saturday night buffet was delicious and the mocktail drinks service was lovely. The manager of this hotel should be very pleased with the level of service offered by the staff. We would definitely recommend the Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam.

What a fantastic welcome. Staff is professionally trained, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and large. For sightseeing you can ask for a taxi or Dart (same as Uber). The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus to the Mall and other places at certain hours. The breakfast and dinner was tasty, lots of choice. Radisson Brunei when you step inside gives you a good feeling.

The Radisson Hotel Brunei was an excellent choice for several days to stay in Brunei. It was well located, the rooms were comfortable, and it was a convenient walk to some of the downtown sites and to boat tours of the Water Village area. Be forewarned that taxi transportation is very limited in this country and they do not roam the streets looking for customers. You will need to have your hotel arrange for a taxi or you might find the name of a taxi driver who will come pick you up on demand.

we booked the hotel in 2017 back when it was newly renovated and we enjoyed our stay back then so this is the reason why we recently booked it again in Dec 31 2022- Jan 1, 2023. Our flight arrived at 930pm so we checked in about a quarter before 11pm. Unfortunately, the experience was so disappointing. The minute our taxi dropped us off at the entrance the doorman just opened the door for us. We are 3 women traveling with our senior citizen dad. A bit of assistance in carrying the luggages to the lobby is the least you could do esp for hotel guests. Check in was swift, however, when we asked if we could check out late due to late check in.. we were informed that every hour would be extra BND15/- per room. And we booked 2 rooms. That's disappointing again! I have checked in many hotels and never had this issue. When we got to our room, it smelled moldy but once we turned on the AC it masked thru the air as we brought some air freshener.

There were so many toiletries missing in our toilet. For example we booked two rooms good for 2 pax each room. Its common sense that two sets of shampoo, conditioner and wash should be provided in each room but only one set was provided. Also the basic complementaries such as the toothbrush, shaving kit, comb and shaving cream had to be upon request. We are coming in late and tired.. we wished everything would have been already ready instead of having to request and wait for staff to deliver it to our doors at midnight.

Honestly the only improvement I saw from 2017 that they have now is the breakfast. It has more options now with the egg station, western breakfast to local breakfast and a cereal, juice bar as well as a coffee machine. The beds in both deluxe rooms were comfy and clean too but that is all the good things I can say about my stay. Very disappointed and not worth the prices charged. Moved to a different hotel with better services.

The spread was impressive and the roast lamb was the star of the buffet. However, I found the environment very stuffy (especially if you were seated inside the restaurant) - it would have been better if you were seated outside by the pool or in the ballroom.

One of the desserts (spherical - alongside the fritters had ants on it. I brought this to the attention to one of the managers (I believe) whom told me that he would “check”. Unfortunately, he did not come back to our table. However, this may also be due to the huge crowd as they seem to be understaffed.

An appropriate response would be an apology (which I was unfortunately not given) followed by removing the dessert from the poolside as to prevent other patrons from eating “ants”. All in all, it was an okay experience, however there is definitely room for improvement.

The hotel wasn’t so clear about charging a 1 yo for the buffet brunch. I had to argue with the cashier, Ms Ethel, that they should not charge a 1 yo. She asked if my 1 yo had used the swimming pool to justify her claim that a 1 yo must also pay for the buffet brunch. My 1 yo was not charged previously during the new year brunch. She was also the cashier back then. Ms Ethel should smile more and be nice to the customers.

Outstanding group of employees during my extended stay at the Radisson I was treated with exceptional levels of kindness and thoughtfulness. The positive attitudes by the cleaning staff, restaurant staff and the management and front desk team made this rather difficult time in our world a lot easier to deal with. Nothing ever seemed to be a problem and their cherry attitude will not be forgotten.

It was my first time spending a night with my family in Radisson and we never knew how comfortable the environment was until we set our feet in the lobby. The lobby is so refreshing and calming, with the luxurious vibe. The staffs were friendly and for the first time, we were allowed to borrow their HDMI - unlike other hotels. Pool was nice, but I thought it would be bigger. Our rooms were clean and organized well. Bathroom, super clean and comfortable to use (they have bidets instead of hose). We also had a view outside looking over the capital of Bru. Overall, I would stay here again.

Hotel is good staff is always there to help you in whatever you need. Very well located, and you can organize your tours and everything you need in Brunei with them. Breakfast is very varied and has acceptable western options (fresh bread, fruit, cheese, milk, tea, coffee). Special congratulations to Adnan during breakfast. He was always there to help and had my tea ready when arrived! Great service Adnan!!

Dear Beaubleu, Thank you for your question, and personally I think it can be quite confusing what a booking site has as cancellation terms etc. I'm not sure what booking site you used and therefore I cannot comment on the exact conditions. However should you wish more information, please contact either the booking site or the hotel. To avoid any confusion in the future I recommend you use the hotel's own website (you can also accumulate points for free stays as well as get extra discount as a member). Unfortunately I am not allowed to post my contact details in reply to your question, however you may always ask me questions about the hotel and reservations. Me and my team will be happy to assist you. Best regards, Jerome van Helden General Manager
