I booked this as a basic room ($13 for a room with AC) The linens were clean and the room itself was fairly clean, but worn around the edges. The bathroom had not really been cleaned. Overall it was a decent value. They had lockers for safe items that you can add additional safety of a pad lock if you...

The room was $7 for two single beds (fan) and an ensuite shower (there's a shared toilet in the hall; on our floor there was no toilet seat). Friendly staff, clean, and a great location close to the river. There's a restaurant in the lobby.

While recommended by the Lonely Planet, we experienced that this is a truely bad hotel with also an unfriendly staff (both owner and her daughter). Spacious but terrible room, old matresses with lots of allergens, water (or sewage?) was dripping from the ceiling on the toilet and bath, everthing was broken in the bathroom, we had a few cm of...

Whilst the rooms were a good size the bathroom here was terrible. Cracked toilet seat, broken taps in the sink (only one tap worked and that only a trickle), the kind of shower where more water comes out of the pipe than the shower head, patched up everywhere and not clean. The air con worked well in the room but...

Lovely place but I got my shoes nicked after leaving them outside my room. I reckon it was one of the staff but of course everyone denied. Just be careful.

The hotel feels more like the owners house that you are staying in. They were not freindly and when we had our laudry done it was returned to us wet and all the whites were ruined and smelled of mould. And they still charged us $6 for this! We were moved rooms from a fairly decent one to one with...

Near by the National Museum, the riverside an the city center (New Market and Soraya Mall) it is a good choice for people, who need a cheap an central accomodation. This is not one of the typical "relaxing" backpacker-guethouses with western food, smiling european staff and filled with a crowd of fun-seeking guys. The booking service for busses and other...

Stayed here for a few weeks, yes I am lazy and should have moved on sooner! But paid in advance to get a favorable room rate. Its dirty, it smells, and the owner is a horrible lady at best. Loads of better option's in P/P

This place is dangerous and i wish we had access to the internet to read the previous review before we went there. The same thing happened to us we were broken into during the night passports and wallets stolen and dumped on the deck outside all our cash stolen, an ipod and my wallet. They swore it was the first...

This guest house was the best value for money we came across. You don't want to stay near the dirty lake even if it is only $5 a night. The last home is in a quite street but close to everything and very relaxed. Sure we had to ask a few times before they wandered down the street to collect...
