If you ask for a room without 'city view', it simply means room with no windows. The room as you can imagine, dark and has poor ventilation. Not very clean toilet and the room is in poor condition. Enough said.

I agree entirely with the comments made by tonbanker. We stayed there but only managed one night before moving out. We also had problems with no electric and were told that it had been cut off by the supplier - hence the very large generator running at the side of the bar. Apparently they couldn't keep it running all the...

Agree the hotel part is a wee run down, the balcony part was brilliant. Bear in mind at the moment if you want to overlook the river this hotel is one of the only ones left with a view, most of the rest have been obstructed by long term building works. Too expensive for back packers, us oldies thought it...

My experience was very similiar to the other poster's. If this room had cost $10, I might be recommending it as an okay place to stay. But for $45 (stayed in a double with a friend the first night, then swtiched to a $35 single the second night), I don't expect there to be holes in the towels and sheets,...

Stayed in this shabby gusthouse recently , $35 per night for a $10 room at best , terrible bed with springs sticking out , hot water sometimes , awful old bathroom , broken furniture etc , could not find manager or owner to complain , reception unattended when power went off in room at 9pm , and could''nt care less...
