This was my third time staying in this small budget guesthouse and I would not hesitate to return again. There are actually three separate buildings, Amber House, Amber Villa, and an annex. This time my room was in the annex across the street from Amber House. The rooms are simple but comfortable and have every amenity I needed including mini... More

Was booked into the $18 a night room which is down alley and across road from main reception. I think there are better quality rooms in Amber Hotel proper section. But more expensive. Our room was okay, clean. Floor was lifting up so needed some repairs. Had aircon, safe, standard Asia bathroom, security screen. We were on ground floor. Alleyway... More

Stayed here for 3 nights after a friend recommended it and we were very happy with the choice. After reading and hearing about Phnom Penh's thieves (pick pockets, purse snatchers), I found the hotel to be in in a nice area with tons of good restaurants and little boutiques. I felt quite safe there. The room was a good size... More

I stayed here a year ago and am about to return, as I found the hotel to be a good value, clean, and convenient. I stayed in the annex building, around the corner from the main hotel; there is a single staff member there, who coordinates with the main building. He was very helpful and friendly. I had breakfast in... More

The staff... More

After arriving in Phnom Penh to start our homeward journey we found a room at Amber Villas and we were pleasantly suprised. The rooms are well proportioned and are very clean. The hotel is nice and quiet which is ideal when you need to get some sleep ahead of a long journey home. The staff are super friendly and nothing... More

Having booked as I thought at the Amber Villa I was placed in the Amber House around the corner for a one night stay until a room became available in my preferred Anise Hotel nearby. I am glad that the stay was only one night. The room at the top of fours stories of very steep stairs was adequate but... More

Myself and a friend stayed here for one night whilst visiting the city. After reading some reviews I had low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. Reception were very friendly and the room was clean, not outdated like some reviews said. We were originally meant to be on the 4th floor but with no lift we ended up staying on the... More

Stayed here as we needed wifi to lan next part of trip. Also, had to get Myanmar visa from embassy just down the road. Room is adequate with hot water and air con.
