I absolutely loved my time at The Sangkum hotel. The pool and restaurant area are beautiful and picturesque. The room was nice with a very modern bathroom. I wanted to stay in the hotel all day instead of sightsee. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. I wish I had more time there.

We had a great 3 day stay here, our first time in Phnom Penh. We could easily walk to most restaurants and attractions, and the tuk tuk drivers outside the hotel were friendly if we needed them. The staff were really helpful in planning our activities and advising us about things to see. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was great,...

This hotel is great. The room was a good size for my family of 3. The owner/manager was helpful. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was of a fantastic quality. Honestly some of the best hotel food we've had in Asia! Maybe it's the French twist to the menu that makes it so good! The tuk tuk drivers...

For the third time I had the chance to stay at the Sangkum hotel in Phnom Penh. Once again, the location is great for me, as it's closed to the places where I work. Not central though. It's a quiet villa, with a great decoration, inspired by the 50s' and 60s'. A little bit more than a colonial charm, a...

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I spend a couple nights here and having to leave this hotel was the saddest part of leaving Phnom Penh. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful--including providing lists of expected prices for tuk tuks to try to prevent getting ripped off. They really go out of their way to make sure...

Hidden in the serene neighborhood not far from the hustle city center, Sangkum is our favorite weekend hideaway for either a dip in the pool to get rid of the tropical heat or a feast & drinks to kick off the lazy day. Despite the fact that there are various boutique hotels in PP which all have distinctive styles and...

I have just finished a 9-day stay at the sangkum and have been delighted. Convenient location, colonial style villa, spotless, spotless large rooms, offered good value for money. service far exceeded my expectations - i had some minor health issues during my stay and the team conducted by Jerome did their best to help me, including buying some groceries on...

This hotel serve also a good quality of food. I've been here many times, still enjoy the tasteful European and Khmer food. A good restaurant for family time. Kids are also welcomed and enjoyed the pool.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Sangkum is a boutique hotel conveniently located in a residential area which used to be the old french colonial heart of Phnom Penh during the protectorate. A quiet area close to Wat Phnom, the French embassy and Calmette hospital. Main touristic attractions are within 5 minutes drive by tuk tuk. The villa is inspired from the Sangkum era. We have 12 spacious and comfortable rooms, with a luxurious garden and a swimming pool perfectly spotted to cool down after a tough working day or a sightseeingtrip in the heat of Phnom Penh. Out of sight from the street, the garden and the swimming pool offer you a private and calm area. The restaurant is entirely outdoor and is directly linked with the garden, the patio and its bar, creating a large and cool open space. Our dedicated staff will take care of all your needs and make your stay an unforgettable moment during your trip in Cambodia. ... more   less
