Rat. No. Saw one in the street but not inside the guesthouse. It was not rat infested.
Noise - I'm a light sleeper. It was the usual bar noise - music and some drunken conversations loud enough to be heard the next block. If u are not a light sleeper perhaps it would not matter. Or perhaps the noise was just a solitary case?
