Lovely boutique hotel with character. #lots of lovely old floor tiles. Several different buidlings, all low rise. My standard room was extremely spacious. Lovely 4 poster bed with crisp linen. Not one but two swimming pools. Good quality breakfast included. Very quiet neighbourhood which has to be unusual in PP. Loved the complimentary massage after my long haul flight.

Arrived and noisy building work next door. Supervisor, Mr Sumnang and management very efficient and helpful in arranging another room which was nice and quiet. Had a great time, lovely setting, great food and excellent staff, especially Veronica at breakfast. Will come back, thanks.

It was a joy to arrive in an oasis in the middle of a chaotic city...Pleasant staff and good selection for breakfast. 2 pools with peaceful places to relax. Characterful furnishings, lovely builings. We had suites which I think may have been worth paying for....

Loved the old colonial styling now renovated. Staff was very friendly. The hotel is in a chic neighbourhood in Phnom Penh and close to the royal palace and the national museum. The breakfast was excellent every morning and we enjoyed both pools the hotel had. The room had beautiful tiled floors and canopy beds with mosquito nets. We also enjoyed...

We have stayed here before, about 3 years ago. It was good then, and it is even better now. Apart from the peaceful location (you would never know that you were in the middle of a busy, hectic-paced city), what makes this so special is the staff. Reception staff (who sorted out my mobile phone muddles as well as booking...

A nice place to stay. We had one of the cheaper rooms which was clean and comfortable. The hotel feels safe as it's next to the Prime Minister's residence, and there's lots of security around. Front pool is lovely and surrounded by lush gardens and day beds to lounge on. Food and service also above average.

We had booked the private jacuzzi bungalow which came with its own enclosed garden. A very relaxing place after the heat and madness of Phnom Penh. Clean room and bathroom. Breakfast though adequate does not offer much choice. However the poolside setting is lovely..Walking distance to the palace. The staff manning the desk should be better trained to speak English....

Dear Kumar, We are doing our best efforts to add a hospitality training section to the Academy of Culinary Arts. I hope this will come soon as we indeed need to train our staff further. Cheers, Alexis

The pool and garden area is wonderful and quiet, you can choose between two pools and all the rooms are set in beautiful mansion style houses, which is very charming, because the whole area is not symetrically planned like in big hotels, but more private and with more personality. My mum and I stayed in our own Bungalow which was...

Weary after 28 hours of travel we arrived at the Pavilion Hotel in the heart of Siem Reap and found we had booked one of the loveliest hotels in the city. Nestled away from the busy streets outside we had a spacious room, with our own private terrace overlooking the infinity pool. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It all started when we fell in love with a hidden gem of French-Khmer architecture from the 1920s near Wat Botum, one of the most venerable and original pagodas in Phnom Penh. Renovation and remodeling were led with due respect for the character of a building which had been, as we learnt it later on, a private retreat for Queen Consort Sisowath Kossamak, the late King Sihanouk's mother. Opened on August, 18, 2006 with 10 rooms, The Pavilion has slowly expanded over the years, offering now 36 accommodations throughout three more period buildings that have been added to the property: "The New House", former residence of the chief veterinarian at the Royal Palace; "The New Villa", formerly the private residence of a Cambodian senator, and "The Sun-Pool Villa", our latest addition which used to be lodgings for diplomats based in Phnom Penh. Each one has its own style and atmosphere, with distinctive architectural features such as an elaborate wooden stairway, intricate iron wrought railings, etc… ... more   less
