What a bad experience... Dimmed, dirty, no water in the morning (one might want to shower before going to work), dead insects in the room, the entrance really dirty (you can sweep dust with your feet from the lift), renovation urgent... By the way, you pay upon arrival, but it's normal, otherwise, many would escape quickly... Very noisy , until... More

Been to Vientiane several times. My regular hotel keeps raising their price, so I thought I'd try another hotel this time. Glad I did! This hotel is great. I asked for and got a river view room that was quite nice. The night market, which is very good and a must vist, was just accross the street. Good food very... More

Good location near Night Market areas . Easy to find restaurants but the hotel itself is not clean enough and looks dimmed. All the rooms should be renovated especially the air-conditioning. Decoration seems good but messy and scares customers. Thst's all.

Reading the reviews, I was expecting a not so clean place with a not so nice staff. On the contrary, the staff were very helpful and the hotel has a certain " cachet " It is clean, rooms are huge and the views on the Mekhong is a plus ( of course one cannot expect the locals to stop breathing... We really enjoyed our stay here, good points all round. Our room overlooked the riverfront and was worth the extra cost, because of all the activity to see, especially the early morning fitness people and the night markets. Room very good although bathroom needs upgrading. Creaky floorboards are a quaint reminder of all the surrounding antiques. Staff very friendly and... More

Most hotels in vientiane are a disapointment and little value for money. However the Inter City differs in that view. Sure there are a few things that need to be looked after, such as the windows in deluxe rooms who needs a serious upgrade to double glass noise proof. Curtains are old and need immediate replacements. Bathrooms require a complete... More

we arrived late in the afternoon . we were greeted and swept into our room rather quickly . We requested a balcony room so we had a view of the Mekong river .. The balcony was horrible (on the 2nd floor ) they may be nicer up higher but the view was blocked by electrical wires on the street .... More

Saw lot of complaints about old & dated but this hotel wouldn't be that bad, at the price of USD 35-45: - Quite a big room compared with other hotels nearby - Right in front of night market, just cross the street - Food, mini-mart, tours, and tuk-tuk are all around. - Free Wi-Fi and breakfast buffet is somewhat acceptable... I wanted to like this hotel but couldn't. The location is by far the best thing, but the hotel is simply dated and in serious need of a remake. The lobby is dark and old, and full of poorly placed antiques, which gives it a very musty and attic-like feel. The room is spacious enough, but the "city view" promised... More
