We stayed at this nice hotel with three small girls. The hotel is very nice designed and the staff is very service minded. Rooms a little small, but nice and with views of the temples nearby. Breakfast is also fantastic with a good selection. We also had lunch and dinner at the restaurant which was good and only at little...

Stayed here for four nights on the fifth floor and had an excellent stay. The hotel is conveniently located a five minute walk away from the city centre of Vientiane. It looks to have been recently refurbished as the hotel has a new, clean vibe to it. The modern decor has integrated traditional Lao features so you get the best...

great fusion of the modern with the traditional. excellent bar/lounge overlooking the quiet ambiance of Vientiane. good service, wonderful breakfast buffet. this is a boutique hotel, so not as large as the usual hotel chains. but the cosiness is a welcome change. definitely good value.

Excellent location and the service. My room was clean and very comfortable with all that was needed including a chocolate every evening. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful and spoke excellent english. The breakfast was a great selection of both asian & european selection. On my return visit I will again stay at Salana.

Top ratings in my book for location and friendliness of all the staff but I am surprised that the Salana occupies TripAdvisor's top hotel spot in Vientiane . We spent a week in one of the three suites - nice room but nothing special , four star if I am generous . Breakfast buffet and room service again "good" rather...

I stayed at this hotel with my partner and I think the location of this place was very central. A walking distance to most of the restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly and the decor has a very nice Laos feel to it. We had a king room which was quite spacious and relaxing. A pleasant stay over-all.

I booked this hotel for ~$150/night but used a ~$100 off coupon and still thought this hotel was poor value. The rooms are super tiny. The price this hotel is asking for a room FAR exceeds the cost of other hotel of similar age in VTE. You are paying an extra US$100/night for chocolates on your pillow, silk sheets on...

This was a great introduction to Vientiane! It has it all: nice rooms, elevator, varied breakfast (Western, including omelets and coffee machine drinks, as well as congee, Lao set, and dim sum). I enjoyed the hotel decor as well. The location was very convenient. I took an early morning walk and got photos of the friendly residents and business people.

The Salana is in a great location, near restaurants and shops. Much thought has gone into the decor which is very tasteful and typically Lao. My room was very comfortable, the staff speak good English and I enjoyed the breakfasts. I also went to the bar which is lovely but a bit dark (I enjoyed my cocktail and prawn spring...
