The hotel is a 10 minute ride from the airport and is bang in the center of the city. The staff are very friendly and courteous although I feel that in general the people of Laos are very nice. The room was well furnished, though it was a bit small for the price. Had no problems with the wifi in... More

After many hours of travelling we were very pleased that the hotel was located a short transfer from the airport. It is also well positioned to visit attractions within the city. Our room was located on 5th floor which was great as we missed a lot of traffic noise and also overlooked a Buddhist temple. The first morning I watched... More

We had a comfortable week's stay here. The area still has some older buildings and during our stay a colorful street arts and culture festival was held to promote the concept of a preserved heritage quarter. I hope the heritage plans are successful. There are lots of wats, cafes and quality massage places in the area and it is a... More

Lovely room, with a decent sized bathroom and good TV. Centrally located close to the night market. Breakfast quite simple but tasty. Service really good. Can't find anything to fault and would stay again.

The location cannot be beat -- just one block from the Chao Anou park on the riverfront, and surrounded by temples and streets full of shops and restaurants. Even the local Range Rover dealer is just a stroll away. I stayed in what I think is the lowest category of room which was perfectly fine. The bed was comfortable. The... More

Nothing to complain about. We stayed 4 nights for my wedding with my friends and family. Everyone enjoyed their stay without any complaints. the staff was perfect as well as the rooms, food and location. The price is quite high but it was worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great central location, wonderful staff and good breakfast. Special thanks to Thong Dum who was very helpful and made our stay most enjoyable. I had a traditional Lao massage at the salana spa, if you like western style massages then this is not for you, but I found it interesting and the kinks in... More

I had been contemplating skipping vientaine, but didn't. I had booked through an online agency a cheaper plainer place on the main street, but changed to the salana, though I lost the entire two night cost of the other place. but I am glad I switched, as I just loved this place. the staff were so incredibly polite, kind, cheerful,... We had to go on an unexpected visa run from Thailand - 2 adults and 2 small children (1 year old and nearly 4 year old)... we were given the "suite" on the top floor and it was lovely... big bathroom with huge bath with bubbles, music and lights that our kids really loved! Right in the centre of town... More

Excellent hotel. The Salana is in a fantastic location in central Vientiane town. It's a fairly easy walk to most the the city's sights and practically across the road from the night market. The staff at the hotel are attentive, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Bathroom was nice too. Breakfast in the morning was nice... More
