We arrived really early on the day our booking commenced (0700) but we were able to check in within an hour after the room was cleaned after the previous occupants left. The rooms are a decent size, with ensuite, tv, fridge and ac. The beds are super comfy and I also found the perfect pillow here! so much so I...

We stayed here twice in six months, all down to renewing our visas for Thailand. The first time we were taken aback slightly at the ‘wonky’ electrics and shower head coming away from the wall, but for $15 a night we couldn’t complain really. This is South East Asia and if you want a five-star resort you have to pay...

Have stayed here on 3 of my visits to Vientiane over the years. I love the area it is in - the northern part of the city - sort of Vientiane suburbia. Nice quiet area. Walking distance to main markets (plus a good local market & food in Asean Road heading west), Patuxay (the Victory Monument) & the city centre...

Far from the river, the second we went in our room it smelled horribly of mildew and mold. Bathroom was dirty and stains on ceiling and walls. I wouldn't get in that pool if you paid me. The real disapointment at this place was the lady running it. I first past off the attitude due to the language barrier but...

This hotel was disapointing for us. It's definitely not worth the 15 dollars. The rooms were not clean, the swimming pool was dirty, the wifi did not work, there's noise and the rooms were old and shabby. We made a reservation for three nights, but we left after one night. Fortunately the receptionist did not charge us for the other...

I was pretty happy with this find - value for money, with a refreshing good-sized pool, AC and private bathrooms, not far from the heart of Vientiane. Don't come here expecting anything new or luxurious, but if relief from the heat in the pool and AC is what ur after at a decent price, I'd say give Villa Sisavad a...

I'm quite disappointed with this GH after having decided for it based on the previous reviews. Room is dark, damp and had seen better days. Lot of mosquitoes. Ok there is a pool but this is not enough to make a good stay. Wifi is weak but look like it is the case in many places in Laos. Breakfast is...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Staff does not speak/understand English. Wifi is very very slow, but free. It's 2km from downtown so be prepared to walk a lot, it's hard to get a tuktik from here.

I enjoyed my stay in this friendly family run hotel. it is great value, better than any others I heard of, it's position is away from tourist area which I like, the pool was wonderful every afternoon. the breakfasts are good, and I would recommend it to those who don't demand super cleanliness, but just want to have a relaxing...

For the forth time i have stayed at this run down Villa, my earlier visits were ok, the rooms were nice and clean enough and the swimming pool was not too bad. But this time I got the worst of all rooms n.14 (i hope there is no worst than this). Air conditioner old and noisy, had it to run...

“Some tuk tuk drivers will charge you 50 000 kip to go anywhere but the normal price is 30 000 all you have to do is be a little persistent. That said we had decided before hand we wanted to walk most of the time and this hotel is very well situated for just that.”
