Vientiane, Laos

The rooms are fairly clean and there is a bathtub and shower and hot water. They are not so good at being ready for your arrival and there is very little that is professional about the way it is kept up or managed. The breakfast is egg, instant coffee or tea, and white bread. No fruit. I had to go...

Great place way from the hustle of down town Vientiane. 10 minutes by tuk tuk. 200 metres from the Mekong. Original Colonial mansion and more recent??? addition. Good pool and beautiful gardens. Breakfast basic but enough. Reception and Manager Mr. Gway (Banana) will go out of his way to help. Even play his guitar for you. Don't mention Manchester United....

Have stayed at this hotel recently. The staff & manager excellent. Position was also very central,& the pool very welcome with the 41degree temperatures. Only negative which was very minor, the aircon was not cold enough.

Nice and quiet. Good outdoor pool. Breakfast OK. Staff try to be helpful. The price is right, but they could be so much more with just a bit more effort? Training? Focus? Rooms are clean and the AC works fine, and you aren't in SE Asia to sit in your room, so all said and done, I'd stay there again.

many travelers via Vientiane to go to another cities or to go back to their countries. I stayed Villa Manoly on our last day. and It was great place to relax. It was very calm with beautiful garden. As the center of Vientiane is really noisy, I recommend this palce to people who want a quiet space.

We stayed at Villa Manoly for three nights. The pool and the garden were lovely and I was glad not to be in the centre of town. However it's badly in need of investment in the rooms and in security - the door of our room didn't lock properly and if I'd been on my own I'd have moved hotel....

This place could be wonderful. The hotel is an old french style building of the french period in Laos. Well, the pool is nice, aircon and wifi were working but you have to face that this place is run down. Old furniture, bedding not comfortable and the rooms could be cleaner. Anyway we enjoyed our stay due to the nice...

The place itself (the building, garden, Swimming pool) is actually very beautiful - but veeery rund-down. The furniture is shabby, everything´s quite dirty and the breakfast is not worth mentioning it.

I came to this place with high expectations but I was pretty disappointed. I reserved a room by the pool much in advanced but when I arrived I was moved because of a bigger booking. I give credit to the garden as it is a very nice setting. However the rooms are very dirty, run down and with a lot...

This villa feels like going back in time some 50 years, but with the amenities of today: wifi, pool, airco. The atmosphere is great and the main staff member adds to the flavour. A temple nearby, a monkey in the trees and a nice pool made our stay perfect.

“We had booked a double room with balcony on the ground floor near the pool but when we arrived, were told these were unavailable, even though our booking had been made months in advance and was confirmed in writing by the owner. It would have been nice to have been informed if the room we had booked was unavailable prior to our arrival.”
