The room was spacious! That was my first impression. However, I couldn't adjust the temperature in the room, and the heater was too warm. I checked with the front desk, and it turned out that the temperature couldn't be lowered in only one room, so I had to leave the window open. If you bought chocolate as a souvenir, be careful where you put it.

There was a large public bath, but it was only open until 10pm, so you could only take a quick bath, and some people couldn't use it at all depending on when they returned from the tour. It was a small bath with eight lockers, but it was enough to relax a tired body. I wish it was open until around 12 o'clock. The breakfast was okay.

There was also a convenience store two minutes' walk away, and an e-mart three minutes in the opposite direction, so it was convenient.

Nice and comfortable hotel. Staff do not spoeak very good English but the room is lareg and very good and comfortable. With the central heating it gets a bit hot as you cannot regulate it, so had to keep windows open. They have a buffet breakfast that is suitable but not exhaustive.

I stayed at the Flower Hotel for 1 night. The hotel was booked by the tour group that I was with. The room that I had looked as if it had been recently remodeled and was up-to-date. The room was clean, had a small refrigerator, and breakfast was included in the price of the room. Breakfast was decent and had a variety of fruits, breads, cereals, and cooked food (eggs, sausage, etc.). The staff was friendly and spoke English well. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk to the main square of Ulaanbaatar and the shopping area near the State Department Store. The neighborhood seemed safe during the day time and I had no problem walking around that area.

Prior to the start of my tour, I attempted to book a room at the Flower Hotel using their online booking system and had trouble and was unable to book a room. I ended up staying elsewhere.

My friends stayed in rooms at the Flower Hotel prior to our tour. It seems that there is a variety of rooms, updated rooms and those that have not been updated. One friend said that the room she stayed in the first time was very old fashioned and out dated, but clean. Another friend stated that his room was quite basic and didn’t have a shower. Book your room carefully otherwise you could be in for a surprise (no shower!).

Overall, the remodeled rooms are nice and good for a few nights stay in Ulaanbaatar.

I participated in the Hankyu Travel International Travel International tour of Mongolia for one person.

I stayed at the Flower Hotel for three nights.

The room was a twin room with a bathtub.

It was very spacious, clean, warm and comfortable.

There were staff who spoke Japanese, a large public bath, and a wide variety of restaurants, so I had no problems and was able to stay there with peace of mind.

By the way, there was no hair dryer in the room when I checked in, but when I asked, they installed one right away. They were very kind.

The breakfast did not have a large selection, but it was very delicious. There were also raw vegetables and fruits, which was enough for me.
I was also happy that there was miso soup and fish soup, which is popular among Japanese people.

The large public bath for women was a little small, but I was able to soak in the large bathtub for a long time and relieve my fatigue.

There were ample amenities, and they were replenished as I used them.
There was also potya coffee and tea.

Towels were changed every day, and cleaning was done every day if requested.
However, there is no conditioner in the rooms or the large public bath, so it is better to bring some from Japan.

There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby the hotel, so it is convenient.

However, there seems to be a busy downtown area where alcohol is consumed, so it is probably best for women not to go out alone at night.

However, generally speaking, most people in Mongolia are kind, so I think it is safe.
The staff at this hotel were very friendly and it felt safe and secure.

This was a VERY nice place to stay in Ulaanbaatar. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the facilities were good. I enjoyed the spa especially. They were also very willing to coach me on speaking courteously in Mongolian, which the locals seemed to appreciate.

I stayed at the Flower for four days as part of a business trip to Ulaanbaatar and after the first night asked my office to move me to a different hotel. I tried to change rooms but the hotel said that they were fully booked so this wasn't possible. So what was wrong? Well as soon as you enter the room you are confronted with a smell of damp and urine especially in the bathroom, the carpet is dirty and torn, the window was broken and when I first arrived the bedroom was infested with flies. The bathroom looked like some madman had been let loose with a sledgehammer since so many of the tiles are broken. Once I had swatted all the flies in the bedroom I tried to connect my computer to the internet only to find that the internet point is too far from the power point to allow you have your notebook plugged in at the same time. The TV is a little 14" CRT which only shows Mongolian channels so bad luck if you don't speak Mongolian.
The breakfast consists of rubbery egg and luke warm sausages, if you want cereal you have a choice of Frosties! They regularly run out of basics like bread and customers had to keep asking for supplies to be replenished.
I also had mornings where there was no hot water so I had to have a cold shower and the toilet blocked on one occasion. I also thought I heard the scurry of little animals in the room at night but can't be sure so I may be doing them an injustice.
All in all this hotel was a terrible experience and I couldn't wait to get out of here, in the end I moved down the road to the Chinggis Khaan which isn't perfect but at least you get the feeling that it is clean and safe.

My friends and I occupied two rooms for a few days in the East Wing, followed by another few days in the West Wing. There was a marked difference in the quality of the rooms in terms of cleanliness and functionality. We had problems closing the doors, flooding bathroom, poor housekeeping when we were in the West Wing. The rooms come with basic furnishing incl a tiny tv, fridge and kettle. But there is no cupboard or anywhere to hang/place clothes.
Breakfast was quite mediocre. If you go after 9am, there is hardly anything left.
There is free internet connectivity in the room (not wifi).

Booked this hotel mainly for the price, thinking it was going to be a real budget stay -turns out it was alot more modern with a whole heap of amenities.

Check in was friendly and efficient, staff speaking decent English to help you out. Room was super spacious even though I booked an economy room. Had everything you would want, mini bar, tv, bedside lamps ect Cosy and warm with central heating and I noticed an AC for summer months.

Breakfast had a good selection and a spacious restaurant. Multiple restaurants to choose from, Chinese, Japanese, European & Indian. I tried the Japanese one and the food was outstanding, did have to try and find the staff behind a curtain.

Especially enjoyed the free Japanese bathhouse. Beautiful warm baths and a sauna. They provide fluffy towels and bathmat and disposable underwear if needed. Massage was payable but charged to the room and was enjoyable but super hard. So ask for the pressure you want.

All in all I was really surprised by this hotel, had alot more to offer than I thought and everything went smoothly.

It is a decent stay. Full amenities with few varieties of restaurants and facilities.
Room is big and comfortable with good range of TV channels.
It is accessible to the center of the UB.
However, look out the heavy traffic in the city due to the limitation of infrastructure.

Flower Hotel was located a bit far away from the Chinggis square in Ulaanbaatar. The room and the bathroom were large and clean.Wireless internet connection was working even in the room. There was a nice indian restaurant in the hotel. Buffet style breakfast with lots of choices was good. Only inconveniance was that during that summer time when I did open the window for a while the room was full of flies.
