We had a fantastic couple of weeks in Ulaanbaatar and chose the Ibis Styles Polaris on the recommendation of our daughter-in-law, a local. It is located on the airport side of the city so you can avoid the last hour of traffic congestion should you choose to be based in the central business district. We asked for a room with a view of the countryside but were upgraded to a suite which was on the north western corner and had both views across the valley that took in the city and views of the green hills. Our daughter also stayed at the Ibis and was also upgraded to a suite on the southern side with great views of the surrounding green hills. If you miss out on the views and opt for the breakfast inclusion, there are both excellent views and a great buffet breakfast selection. All of our encounters with Ibis personnel were hassle free. From the reception to dining and cleaning personnel, they were always helpful and genuinely pleasant to talk to. Language differences were not an issue. We were visiting for our son's wedding and we had the bride and groom book in to celebrate with us. And to top off a perfect stay, the staff arranged a surprise birthday cake for my wife, whose birthday was during the stay. Top marks all round Ibis.

This is a new and modern Hotel, very nice and rooms are a good size. It is Situated near the Misheel Marketplace. It is closer to the airport than the city, that’s saves time in the city very busy traffic. I will return here again when next passing though UB.

I always stay at the Ibis styles hotel when I travel to Mongolia. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very friendly throughout whole stay. Extremely clean even before Covid. Food is always prepared to perfection and portion size is generous.

The room is neat. I made a reservation and received an e-mail that an additional fee would be added only to late checkouts after 18 o'clock through prior consultation, and there was no other comment at check-in, so I checked out before 18 o'clock, but the fee was paid. When I protested to the hotel, they said that my check-out payment time was after 18 o'clock, so it was charged. They even sent me a slip. However, I checked out before 18 o'clock and asked the credit card company to resolve the dispute and got a refund. I can't recommend hotels that even manipulate payment time and avoid mistakes.

The hotel is great with the connection to the airport. However, not recommended for business trips in the summer. The outside bar has a noise level on the music system that is neither inviting in the restaurant nor makes the rooms suitable for sleeping.

Staffs are very helpful and friendly especially Ulzii and Ganuu who help us in checking in. Room is nice and clean. Foods are good. Excellent hotel, I have been here a few times and will definitely come back in the future.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff is very helpful - most speak quite good English. Maral is lovely and helped me book a couple of appointments given I don't speak the language. The sauna is available on request and definitely worth it.
