I have been in Oasis cafe 1 year ago. I think they are very creative and creative. You can rent ger /yurt/ and if you want cheap, there's a room with double bed. This cafe suitable for Motorbicycle and car traveler. Because there is more spaces in there garden.

As Oasis has come to be a major checkpoint for people travelling overland, there is an excellent atmosphere in the kitchen and yard, and lots of people to get the latest travel information from, and share stories with. Though we thankfully weren't in need of a mechanic, the guesthouse did not mind others having repairs done in the yard. The...

First of all, when the taxi stopped, I had a hard time believing we were there: the guest house is in an alley behind the main road, in the middle of nowhere. You can't go anywhere without a ride, there's no restaurant or coffee place nearby. After a long and tiring train trip, I had promised the kids a sumptuous...

The second I arrived at the Oasis, I was made feel very welcome. I was so relaxed that I did not want to leave and it was with sad heart that I departed. The atmosphere is something else, people of all walks get together and chat and have fun. Central to town, there are plenty of buses passing by.. Close...

Oasis is just off the main road situated right behind a petrol/gasoline station that is on the main road. We stayed at the Oasis last June the place is nice and clean, although it is outside the city the pubic transport system (or not) is amazing, you walk from Oasis 100m to the main road, cross the road and put...

The Oasis is legendary within the overlanding community so it was at the top of my list of places to stay in UB. I was so disappointed that we moved out after one night! We arrived at 6.30pm only to find out that the owner/manager closes the office at 6.00pm and the local staff who were present don't speak English...

We stayed in Oasis for 1 night in July 2014. It was great. We had booked a private room and two of us stayed in a 4bed room which worked out fine. They do not accept credit cards, but dollars, euros or tugriks are welcome. The laundry service was good and they accommodated our request even late in the day....

Friendly place to stay for over-landers needing a rest/repairs. Ownership has just changed from Austrian/German couple to Mongolian; service remains trilingual and excellent. Lovely sun-drenched cafe and outdoor tables in garden for chilling and catching up on news from home. Internet currently free as new owners feel they shouldn't charge for occasionally slow connection (eg uploading photos can be painful)....

Oasis guesthouse was just what I needed after a gruelling 2 month motorbike ride to Mongolia. Sibylle is a fantastic host and there is a great atmosphere. The guests tend to be motorbikers or in 4x4's and there is always a good conversation to be had or advice on great places to visit or pitfalls to avoid. Highly recommended!

After a really slow traffic clogged journey to the guesthouse we arrived late at this very cool place. We helped ourselves to food and drink from the cafe [you tally up what you have taken and pay later] and retired to our cold but perfectly functional Ger. Sibylle- the owner - was very friendly. She speaks good english and helped...

“Check out the food shop next to the petrol/gasoline station and you must try the transport into the city at least once”

“The Gers are great for group or you are happy to share with others. I didn't see the rooms but they would be good if you wanted your own space as a couple. We stayed at the end of the season and was still pretty busy, but I believe in peak travelling season for Mongolia you should definitely try and book ahead were you can.”
