When I picked up the hotel business card at the reception desk, I was a bit surprised. I could have thought that we had landed in paradise. Yes, the hotel rooms are spacious and quite comfortably equipped, and the bathrooms are functional and comfortable, but the hotel surroundings are far from paradise. This is where we spent our first and last night in Mongolia. We spent the remaining nights in the gerah, i.e. the local yurts, so I can't compare it with other hotels, but the business card is a bit idolatrous.

I found myself well. I didn't have any problems. The hotel is very central. The room was huge, certainly not brand new but still the price acceptable. The hotel is very central but still quiet. The night was 3 degrees but it was fine inside without heating. Breakfast is ok, essential. better go taken (ie at 7).

On April 10, 2024, we checked into Platinum, booked on Booking for 3 days. When checking in, we asked that the room not have windows overlooking a construction site. We were in a hurry to get to work, dropped our things and ran away, returned late in the evening and saw that there was construction under the window, but we were tired and decided to change rooms in the morning. But it was impossible to sleep because of the noise! In the morning we asked to change the room and were told that there were no rooms. We asked to return our money for the two remaining days, we were told that they could not solve anything, the manager would come at 13:00 with her to solve everything. We released the company car and began to wait for the manager, but after 10 minutes they called from the reception and calmly returned the money to us. Of course, we lost due to the difference in rates, but we didn’t care. When we checked in, we paid for half a day plus, but for some reason they charged us not 50% of the room rate, almost 80%.
The furniture is old, the sofas are sagging and so are the armrests of the sofas. The toilet seat is not secured by anything, the toilet bowl is cracked, and there is more toilet paper than there is.
We arrived for breakfast at 9 o’clock and were already eating the leftovers.
We wanted to leave a review on Booking, but the option was not available, it turns out that Platinum made a note that we were not checked in. There is a lot of deception!

After a long trip on the TransMongolian Railway, checking into the Platinum Hotel was a refreshing oasis. Great staff who were very friendly and went out of their way to try to help, clean rooms, comfortable beds, adn very good hot showers with good water pressure. Room service did not answer the phone but went down and ordered at the bar and the food was served promptly and with a smile.

This hotel room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast is acceptable, room size is also not too small. Location - it is a 3-4 minutes walk from the main road and within 15-20mins walk to shopping areas.

Standard business hotel. Comfortable bed and clean. Tea and coffee making facilities. In a back street fairly near the centre. Didn't have time for breakfast but they gave us a packed one to take away - order the night before.

Make sure you allow plenty of time to check out as the receptionist goes to check your room for theft or damage against a two page inventory which lists everything from 2 teaspoons to the toilet and wardrobe! So best to check yourself on arrival that nothing is missing rather than be accused of stealing a towel or light bulb!

I do agree with one of the previous reviewers about this hotel - it is all really-really nice, the staff is very helpful, rooms are well kept and spacious. The laundry service is good and fast and among other things they provide you with a razor and a toothbrush in the bathroom.
But I also got the feeling that the hotel lacks something...something that I can't really wrap my head around. Maybe the deep quietness is something that gave me this feeling. I do like a quiet room, but the restaurant and bar area was equally silent.
No big deal really - the city center is a short walk away, but maybe the hotel management should think about making the bar/restaurant area a bit more lively.
Overall the hotel is ideal for a good nights sleep and an easy-going stay.

The room is a good size and the service is good. The restring meals are a bit to be disired and some of the staff are still leanings how to deal with English and western ways. The rooms are clean and all the staf are very helpful.

This hotel is really well positioned at only a 5 minutes walk from the Changgis Khan public square or even a famous monastery. A few restaurant aren't too far out such as an amazing Indian restaurant just across the river :)
Breakfast is various to choose from, the rooms are clean, it was perfect for a transit. Would I stat there for more than a night at a time NO. The staff were OK I terms of service but not particularly smilling nor welcoming.

Hi, 1. I think the big mall closed at 6 pm when I was there 2. I did not used the shuttle bus from the airport, I had used my guide for the entire trip to do the transport as the hotel was charging to much ... 3. No idea for the laundry service, did not used it.
