My wife And I visit the hotel every year as it's not just a hotel for us but also where we had our beach wedding. Most of the staff even remember us well and give us great care. I checked in again a few days ago and yet again the hotel and its atmosphere take away all the stress of...

We stayed one night at the end of our tour. We arrived early evening after a long day travelling from Yala. Our room was on the 3rd floor at the end of the hotel near the railway line with a small balcony and a magnificent seaview. On arrival the room had a double bed and a single fold up bed...

We stayed for 1 night - the first night of our honeymoon in Sri Lanka. Given a very warm welcome and shown to our room. We knew we were coming to one of the oldest hotels in Colombo so we were not expecting all the mod cons, however the room was very basic. It had two single beds, the air...

Arrived in the middle of the night to rooms (colonial) which had leaking roofs and dirt in the bathroom. Finally got switched room after refusing to not pay extra, these rooms were much better. Say on the side of the hotel where reception is. Pool area gets taken up by outside guests so go out early to get a sun...

A little heaven on earth. This hotel is a destination all it's own. As soon as you pull up to the stately entrance you know your in for a treat. The history and charm of the mansion turned hotel is a wonderful adventure at every turn. The rooms are clean and well maintained with a private terrace and a gorgeous...

I had the best room of the entire tour. The whole hotel which was I believe a former Governers home. It exuded opulence and a time gone by where people were number one priorities. The staff could not do enough for you. After leaving my beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the sea where big soothing waves rolled in and...

I paid month upfront with a request for a room in the upper floors and when I arrived they told me the only room available was on ground floor at the same level the train line runs behind the hotel. Not impressed. It was noisy. They said they would change my room on the second day and then did not....

we booked this Hotel via agoda.com for 28€ at night.. the pictures looked great so we was looking forward to stay in a nice place. But what we get was a booking in the Relax on Hotel, which is horrible. The bathrooms smells like a dirty drain. The House is dirty and the price is very high for that what...

Very enjoyable experience.Hotel is old & 4-Star.Being upgraded by now completed. Food was excellent.Service & Staff were 5 Star. A little isolated from the hustle & bustle of the city, but that makes it quiet & peaceful. Peaceful & a nice beach to relax & chill out.
