I was here for the media forum held at the hotel and stayed there for two nights. Rooms are great and spacey. But that is all. The breakfast looks like a catering service bring in some items to grab at the corner of a room. Fitness center, the equipment is so old, I have not seen such historical treadmill anywhere...

Rooms were big and spacious but quite worn out though still clean. This hotel used to be under the Intercontinental group earlier which is still evident from some of the things like the billing invoice. envelope etc. where the Intercontinental has been replaced by International. Is relatively cheaper now.

I stayed twice on same trip- coming and going and had wildly divergent rooms- 1 dull dirty carpetted room on 5th floor, 1 clean spiffy room on 8- I prefer more authentic but updated native Uzbeki hotels which, in my experience, also offer better AC/wifi and much more appropriate experience. who wants to stay in a Holiday Inn type hotel...

We are in a group of 16 people our experience has been very bad as we visited Tashkent yesterday the hotel people gave us 8 rooms on 7 different floors where in we booked and requested to be on the same floor long back. We opted to stay in this hotel due to its proximity to Uzexpocentre as participants in UzBuild2016. A short walk is all that will take to get you there. The place can be best described quiet. The breakfast buffet are short of options; it seems they're serving the same set of menu everyday. The staff are friendly though the smiling...

Many of the problems we faced at this property were due to arcane government regulations. But since the government owns and runs the hotel, it's still their fault. The hotel has a worn and tired look. It reminded me of the 80's.Two of the restaurants are closed, and the third has decent food but at ridiculous prices. A $36 breakfast...

Currently in the lobby. It was so noisy in my room because of the renovations that are taking place but it is noisy here too! Do they have to work on a Sunday? Might be better to close the hotel completely rather than take money from disgruntled guests. Staff are friendly but that does not help with the inconvenience. My...

I stayed here with a National judo side by invitation from the President of Uzbekistan and the hotel itself was everything you expect. I was chatting to my interpreter on a bench in the park opposite the hotel, when two Uzbek policemen tried to bribe me and subsequently arrest me. A wonderful city, with a slightly rough edge.

I have stayed at the hotel when it was Intercon and a number of times after Intercon left. The quality of the property continues to go down. The good things about the hotel are its location and the great surroundings and the spacious nature of the rooms and common areas. However the decor is very tired looking and needs desperate...
